A couple of years ago, I was trying to figure out where to spend my birthday, and it couldn’t have been easier. All it took was a notification that there were reduced fares to Dubai. Without hesitation, I booked immediately. I was visiting during Ramadan and needed a few things to do while there as I was going to be there for ten days.

This stretch of white sand is the ultimate place for the perfect beach experience. There, you can meet new people or enjoy yourself with your friends or family.
- AL QUDRA CYCLE PATH
This trail is 86 km long and is a great place to visit in order to view the desert, and you may spot some wildlife living freely as you cycle away.
- GURU NANAK DARBAR SIKH TEMPLE
This clean, quiet temple has a spectacular design and offers a new feel for the city due to the Sikh influence. The temple is free to enter.
- AL NOOR MOSQUE
The Al Noor Mosque is the only mosque that allows tours inside the Sharjah region. This beautiful mosque is adorned with stunning designs and is a great place to see while here.

This public beach is excellent for a tan. There are lifeguards around during the day and lots of people to chat with. The water is clean; however, the beach is less crowded during the weekdays.
- BASTAKIA QUARTER
The Bastakia Quarter was once a former fishing village that lies in the city. It is rich in culture and history, dating back to the times of the Iranian traders. Visit this place and enjoy an authentic UAE experience.

This green park is a great place to visit if you want to enjoy a nature-filled afternoon. The park has an artificial lake, and there is so much greenery around that you will forget you are in a desert.

This old dock is a gorgeous location to visit while in Dubai to see some of the country’s history. It is located close to the gold souk and spice souk, which are also free.
- SATWA DISTRICT
There is so much to see, and the Asian culture, especially Pakistani, influences the district. Some sellers will approach you and try to bargain on souvenirs. There are also a lot of parks that are free to visit in the area.
- DUBAI TURTLE REHABILITATION PROJECT
This non-profit organization aims to educate people on turtle conservation and help them learn how to do it. It treats sick and injured turtles, among other marine life, and you can be part of such a noble cause for no fee at all.
