Disclosure: I received the Skip Hop Owl 4 Piece Toddler Bedding set for review purposes. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own!
I am a big fan of the
Skip Hop line of products. Their products are geared towards the child in you
with fun bright colors and even cooler designs. You may have noticed that I
received a Lunchie from their zoo friends line yesterday in my Citrus Lane box,
since receiving it I have been walking around the house with it, sometimes
empty, sometimes with a few toys on the inside. When offered the chance to
review the SkipHop Owl 4 Piece Toddler Bedding set, there
was no way I was going to say no. First of all it included owls. If you haven’t
noticed, the owl theme is pretty big around Growing Up Madison. If you took a look at myroom, you may notice that my room is completely
decorated with owls. Mommy and I are huge owl addicts and if we go into a store
and see anything owl related, you can be sure that it is going home with us.
Now before I go crazy talking about owls and how much I love them,
believe me I can go on about them forever, I really want to tell you about the
Skip Hop 4 Piece Toddler Bedding set in the Owl pattern. This is a 4 piece set
that includes a flat sheet, fitted sheet, pillow sham and a reversible
comforter. The sheets are made of 55% cotton and 45% polyester, while the
comforter is made of 55% cotton, 45% polyester and 100% polyfill. The pillow
sham is 100% polyester microfiber.
Size in inches:
Fitted sheet: 52l x 28w x 8h
Flat sheet: 52l x 52w
Comforter: 58l x 43w
Pillow sham: 20l x 27w
What do I love?
The fitted sheet fits really great on my toddler bed. They are
made to fit any crib size mattress. The flat sheet is elasticized at the very
end so it stays on my bed very easily. It makes it very easy to make and mommy
doesn’t have to worry about it slipping off my bed like the normal flat sheets.
The color is beautiful and is completely dotted. Red dots to be exact.
Have you noticed the pillow? The pillow sham has owl ears and the
design is really cool. Your little one like me would want to sleep on the
pillow. It’s not the boring pillow that you see in every toddler bed. The 3D
design really pops. The colors even though there is quite a bit of blue can be
used for both boy and girl.
The reversible comforter is my favorite. One side, the side I really
love is covered with owls and leaves. It has more of a fall look but it’s great
for all year round. It is also pretty warm and I love being under my comforter
with my stuffed animals.
What don’t I love?
I have to be honest and I pride myself on my honesty. The sheets
feel very cheap and for the price I expected it to be a lot better than what I
received. I really did expect it to be a lot better coming from Skip Hop. The
sheets actually pilled up after mommy washed them so mommy wasn’t too happy either.
It is recommended that they be washed on cold setting and low dry. Mommy
followed the instructions and did not have happy results. Maybe if the cotton
or thread count was higher it may have been better.
This Skip Hop Owl 4 Piece Toddler bedding coordinates with their
other Zoo Collection. You can also buy other accessories that will go along
with your set such as hampers etc. The set costs $60 and can be purchased on Amazon.
Do I recommend them? I
still do just because they are soooo cute and to be honest the price isn’t that
bad for an entire toddler bedding set. Mommy has paid more for other sets and
they weren’t as cute as this one! You would love it too.
