Productivity is something we all want to achieve in our lives. Whether it be getting chores done around the house, studying for a test, or working on our career.
One of the things that can be a challenge is maintaining your motivation throughout the day to become more productive and efficient. Life is hard and when it gets on top of us it’s difficult to get back on track and start pushing to be better.
Today we want to take a look at some of the ways you can be more productive this week and get your mind in the right headspace for it.
Write down your goals
The first thing you should always be doing is writing down your goals. When you are sat on the sofa drinking your morning cup of coffee, take a moment to write down what you want to achieve that day and ensure that you read over the list before you begin. By writing down your goals and your tasks, you will have a visual reminder of what you need to do and this will often make it easier for you to get sh*t done.
Use photos for inspiration
There might be a goal you have in mind for yourself that cannot be completed in a day. This could be anything from home decor to a weight loss goal – and using photos to motivate you through this is the best way to stay on track. Print out photos of what you want to achieve and put them in prominent places around the house such as the fridge or your bathroom mirror. This will help you stay constantly reminded of a project or goal and will ensure you don’t end up neglecting it or procrastinating.
Prepare fresh fruit in the fridge
Want to be more productive every day of the week? Start the day with fruit. Fruit has natural sugars as well as a whole bunch of vitamins that will kick start your brain and help you to be more alert and focused each day. When you go to the supermarket and buy fruit, bring it home and wash and cut it straight away. Place it all in an airtight container in your fridge and this will provide you with a quick breakfast snack without the effort.
Be realistic
It is so important when setting yourself a goal to be realistic otherwise you won’t get it done. For example, if you want to lose weight, you can’t expect to drop 2 dress sizes in 4 weeks because this is unrealistic and it will put a lot of pressure on you. Instead, give yourself a simpler goal such as losing 1-2 inches around your waist in 4 weeks which is much more achievable as well as more motivating for you as you will see the results more quickly. It is so important when setting goals and trying to be productive to be realistic because otherwise you will become overwhelmed and as a result you are much less likely to complete your tasks.
