It’s once again time for our monthly review of our Stork Stack Toddler Box. For those who don’t know about Stork Stack, its a monthly subscription box service that caters to babies from the third trimester to toddlers up to age 3. I’m now 19 months old so I get a toddler box.☺
The theme for this month was “Smarty Pants!”. Stork Stack decided to do something different this time and didn’t include the card that they usually do. They actually sent it via email so I was able to see what I was receiving before I actually got it. Nice if you’re curious like me but if you want it to be a surprise then you may not want to click on the link. Anyway the digital card read:
The fall is a time when Back to School is on our minds. We can all remember what it was like to start the school year- new supplies, back packs, lunch boxes and clothes. Just because your little ones might not be hopping on busses and heading to school for reading, writing and arithmetic, doesn’t mean they can’t participate in the spirit of learning! September’s “Smarty Pants” Stack is full of educational and fun items that bring the classroom to your little one. After all, we parents are our children’s first teachers. And you’ll notice we’ve also included a fresh pair of socks to complete the Smarty Pants ensemble. At Stork Stack we believe a little learner should always look the part!
This month’s products were from Early Lingo, Workman, Food Should Taste Good, Sneakz Organic and Tic Tac Toe. We were really excited to see what a few of these were but had heard of Sneakz before. I wasn’t too excited for that because I didn’t like it. So without further ado here goes our products.
Tic Tac Toe – $5.20
TicTacToe is committed to comfy toes and feet, with products of the most careful design, highest quality and greatest value. Our wide range of products, including booties, crew socks, knee socks, leggings and tights in sizes from newborns through teens has been a valued core line at specialty and department stores for almost 30 years. Our legwear is made from various fabrications from cotton to nylon blends to microfiber to offer styles for all occasions, from school days to holidays. Simply put: TicTacToe offers exceptional quality and comfort that provides lasting wear and timeless style.
This turned out to be too big for me but I can always save it for later. I loved the colors and it’s knee high. This will be great in the spring when all the bright colors comes out.
Early Lingo – $19.99
Research proves that children have a greater advantage over others if they learn a foreign language at the same time they are learning their primary language – the second language will be simultaneously stored neatly and subconsciously in the same area of the brain. Children are not confused by learning additional languages, despite the propensity for this in adults –their brains create separate and unique neural pathways for each language. With frequent, repetitive exposure any child will be able to speak with familiarity and no accent. Is your little one too young to learn a foreign language? They will be learning languages soon enough, and Early Lingo will be there for them when they are ready!
I am currently learning French so I was pretty excited to get another DVD that was all in French. This will certainly boost my French vocabulary. I was only disappointed that they sent part 3 of 12 instead of sending part 1. Guess mommy will have to get the other parts.
Mini Wheels Books: The Ice Cream Truck – $8.46
So lively, so colorful, so much fun to hold and play with, to open its doors or send wheeling across the room, THE ICE CREAM TRUCK is a natural companion to the Mini School Bus, Mini Fire Truck, and Mini Express (collect them all!). It’s the summer vehicle that all kids wait for—and this one, staffed by a merry group of chef’s-hat-wearing penguins, comes packed with treats and rhymes and, just like a
real ice-cream truck, brings lots of smiles wherever it goes. There’s the ring-aling-a-ling and the customers arriving at breakneck speed, the cones—One scoop, two scoop, three scoop, four!—the pops, plus floats, sundaes, malteds, and shakes. Not to mention a super-secret treat machine that would make Willy Wonka proud. A book, a toy, a vehicle—and best of all, the ice-cream truck that comes all year long!
I love books so anytime I get a new book I get excited. I can’t wait to read this book. Super cute with wheels just like an ice-cream truck and also a cute little melody as well. I love ice-cream so this is a hit with me.
Sneakz Organic: Chocolate Milkshake – $2.08
The Sneakz Organic Chocolate Milkshake delivers sneaky vegetable nutrition! Our delicious, USDA Organic chocolate milkshakes contain one full serving of vegetables, with sweet potatoes, carrots and broccoli. When you compare Sneakz to other chocolate milks, our drink has more positive nutrition and less sugar, with the nutrition from whole foods and not fortification. And Sneakz’s packaging is shelf-stable, so the drinks can be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature, making them perfect for lunchboxes and drinking on the go!
I hated this the last time it was sent to me so you can bet that I’m not going to like this a second time around. Maybe I can get my big brother to drink it but I remember him saying ‘Yuck!” the last time he tried it as well. Lets hope there are no more in next month’s box.
Food Should Taste Good: Multigrain Tortilla Chip – $3.89
Founder Pete Lescoe created Food Should Taste Good, Inc in 2006 with the goal of making a unique new snack with great taste, real ingredients, and sophisticated flavor – the qualities he is most passionate about in food. With a name that speaks for itself, Food Should Taste Good® chips are made from high quality ingredients. All chip varieties are gluten free, cholesterol free, have zero grams trans fats. Flax, sunflower and sesame seeds add to the distinctively nutty flavor, making this chip a wholesome, perfect snack to be enjoyed on its own or dipped into your favorite hummus.
So mommy and I were curious as to how these tasted. After all with a name like Food Should Taste Good we expect it to taste good. You know what? They actually did taste good. Mommy is going to be looking for these the next time we go food shopping.
It really did taste good! |
Our September Stork Stack Box had quite a few things that I really enjoyed receiving such as the book and the tortilla snack but I could have done without the chocolate drink. Maybe next time instead of sending two different food products they can include a toy. I was really looking forward to a toy this time but didn’t get one.
