If you’re a procrastinator like mommy or you just haven’t had time to finish up your back to school shopping as yet, may we suggest The Children’s Place. There are a few places that we love to shop at and I have to say that this store is definitely one of them. The number one reason being that you can get a lot for your dollar. Well maybe not a dollar, but you get the idea. Mommy remembers shopping there with my oldest sister when she was a baby, and who just left for college, so you know that they have been around for quite some time. There are even photos of my brothers in their classic colorblock sweaters that they’re famous for when they were younger. Yes The Children’s Place was making color block cool before it even was. Mommy had to dig through her archive to find this picture and I know Krxssy is not going to be happy but don’t they look cute? Not as cute as I am now though.
Krxssy and Kyle in Children’s Place Sweaters |
The past weekend mommy decided to do a bit of shopping for back to school for Mikael. Kyle unfortunately no longer fits into The Children’s Place clothing. He’s 13 and wears size 16 and their sizing only goes up to size 14 for boys and girls alike. Mikael is my 9 year old autistic brother and is still able to wear their clothing. I am also able to fit their clothing but mommy says I have enough so Mikael got it all this time. Lucky him!
Now while I may be sharing this post with you about Mikael’s back to school attire. They also have quite an extensive collection for girls as well. There are school uniforms, dresses, tops and bottoms. In my opinion which I love to give whether you like it or not, I think the girl stuff is always so much prettier than the boys!
If you haven’t shopped at The Children’s Place you almost always end up leaving the store with much more than you wanted to. As a matter of fact mommy ended up paying almost as much as her gift card because she couldn’t stop shopping.
The Children’s Place is your boys school uniform supply store. Mikael still goes to a uniformed school where he has to wear either navy, black or khaki pants and a solid polo. The color is totally optional. There was an extensive supply of both pants and solid polos so mommy grabbed a few, colors included blue, white, orange and grey. Mommy never gets white because we all know that kids can never keep white clean.
Here are just a few of what Mikael was able to get. He’s going to be so stylin’ this school year!
When it comes to tees, there are also quite a lot of graphic tees to choose from as well. Mikael has dress down day at school on Fridays so including uniforms he was able to grab a few tees to go along with denim. Available in both short sleeves and long sleeves.
In their denim department you can choose from skinny, straight, carpenter, bootcut or utility. It all depends on your style of course. And of course don’t forget that there are jackets to choose from as well. Mikael was able to grab a sherpa lined hoodie that is perfect for the fall and will be sure to keep him warm all winter.
Once you’re done choosing your tees and jeans don’t forget to grab your accessories which includes your backpack, lunchbag, socks and even underwear. While you’re at it maybe even pick out a shoe or two. The Children’s Place has it all.
So if you still haven’t finished your back to school shopping as yet. Check out The Children’s Place, you won’t regret it. Did The Children’s Place get Mikael’s BIG THUMBS UP? You bet it did!
