It is officially spring and with spring comes spring showers. In our case here in Colorado, we’ve had spring thunderstorms. We have been having rain consistently for the past three weeks with no end in sight. As a matter of fact after checking our 10 day extended weather forecast there is, you guessed it, rain in our immediate future. While I prefer spring over winter, I do like to have a bit of rainfall every once in a while. After all it’s the season that is just made for puddle jumping and you can’t have puddles without rain. Speaking of rain, you’ve also have to most definitely have your raingear in order and Western Chief has you covered. Not only do they have raingear for boys and girls but they also have for women and men too. Here’s a little warning for you though, be sure to order a size down in your favorite boots because they do tend to run larger than normal sizing.
Here is a little info about the Western Chief Company:
Since 1891, Western Chief has been making boots to hold up against tough weather conditions. With a deep heritage in boot making, Western Chief continues to provide boot options for outdoor wear. Footwear offerings range from loveable character rain boots for kids, whimsical and cozy boots for women, durable work boots for men, and more.
Whether you need boots for play, trudging through muddy fields, gardening, navigating city streets, or every day wear – Western Chief has you covered with affordable, functional boots to fit your lifestyle.
One of the things I loved about Western Chief is their delightful and fun prints. I mean everyone knows just how much I love Hello Kitty and what would be the odds that they would have them available just for me. Well maybe not just for me, but it does seem to feel that way. There are even a few other prints of superheroes that your kids will just love as well. But I’m a Hello Kitty fan through and through. Me and Hello Kitty make puddle jumping so much fun. Most boots also come with a matching rain coat and umbrella to complete the collection.
Now if your little one loves showing off his independence then there’s no better way than a boot that helps him/her to do just that. Western Chief rain boots comes equipped with two handles that makes it super easy for your little one to pull on or off. Made of natural rubber and a moisture absorbing cotton lining to keep your little one’s feet warm and comfortable. The boots also come with a threaded outsole to prevent slipping and sliding. After all while we love jumping in puddles we would prefer not to slip and fall in them.
Their raincoats or rain jackets (whichever you prefer to call them) are super lightweight and are also lined. We’re not talking cheap plastic here. Once again as with the boots you may want to order your exact size or even size down. Most parents like to go up a size because they want the clothing to last a long time. Well not in this case. You don’t want it too big. While I can’t speak of the other rain coats in the collection I do however have to recommend getting this Hello Kitty one that I’m wearing. Just look at the ruffle detailing on the back. It is simply adorable! The easy snap close features also makes it easy for your little one to put on and take off. No buttons to struggle with. They are also hooded for your added protection.
So to celebrate my brand new rain gear I decided that I was going to go outside and run around for a bit with my brand new puppy. You may have seen him on my Instagram or Facebook page when we first bought him home. His name is Shadow and he will be 3 months old on the 25th of May. He’s the Ying to my Yang, I’m Bonnie and he’s Clyde and we’re almost inseparable. Thanks to Western Chief we’re able to enjoy the outdoors together. (Please excuse our mini jungle, we’re still waiting for the rains to stop so we can mow but it does make for great running.)
So if you’re looking for rain gear for your little ones to or yourself for the spring rains then check out Western Chief. Not only are their boots and rain coats well made and super comfortable, I guarantee that you would love them just as much as I do. Western Chief gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
