Ogden Made Totally Awesome Bags – Review & Giveaway

Disclaimer: I received products  for review purposes. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own.

Mommy smiled when Ogden Made contacted her about doing a review for one of their totes or messenger. Why did she smile? Well after taking a look at their website their slogan is enough to make anyone smile. It simply states “try finding a signature on cheap crap”. Well mommy decided to put them to the test and looked at the numerous totes that she has and on some not so cheap ones too and guess what? There were no signatures on either. Well why would Ogden Made have such a slogan. It’s very simple! They stand behind every bag that they make with an unbeatable warranty. They have one of the best warranties to date that mommy has seen. Check it out!

Most companies build products to have a “useful life”. We build products to be useful throughout your life. Our warranty is quite simple, we back up our products with free lifetime repairs or if needed (gasp!) replacement. It doesn’t matter if the product was purchased new from us, or if you conned your friend in to trading his Ogden Made for your old skis, if it is Ogden Made it is covered. Heck, why bother signing a bag if you aren’t willing to stand behind the signature. That’s why we say, ‘try finding a signature on cheap crap’.

Mommy and I decided that we wanted to give the tote a try. After all I’m still a toddler and I am actually still in diapers. That means that whenever mommy goes out she still takes along a diaper bag filled with goodies. The usual diapers, wipes, snacks etc. A tote would be multifunctional. It can be used as the typical diaper bag and can also be used as a regular day to day bag. For my big sister who is heading off to college, it can be used to carry her books from classroom to classroom around campus.

When our tote arrived we were really surprised at the quality of the work. Shipping was super fast and came with UPS in a well packaged box. There wasn’t too much packaging to get rid of and mommy was very pleased with that. The first thing that mommy did was look for that signature and there it was on the inside of the bag. My bag was signed by Jenny and made on May 5, 2014. Even that little detail was included. I must tell you that each bag is handcrafted with pride in Ogden Utah thus the name Ogden Made.

Now for the highlights of this marvelous tote:

  • Height: 11.5 inches
  • Length: 18.5 inches
  • Width: 5.5 inches
  • Outside pocket to store whatever your heart desires
  • Inside pockets to hold pens, pencils, cheese strings and maybe a small wallet complete with key fob.

  • Zippered top that is totally water resistant  and which was one of our favorite feature. Not only don’t you see the zipper when it’s closed but it really protects from spills, making this tote completely water resistant.

  • Handles that are very securely stitched on. Yes mommy took the test of pulling on them really roughly to see if they would tear and they stood up to the test.

Now these totes are a little pricey at $85 but with that warranty and the high quality that you are receiving, forget about the price. This is a tote that you know you will have for a lifetime. I can’t begin to sing it’s praises and I don’t do that very often over totes. You know that they definitely got my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
