It’s been a while since I’ve shared what I’ve been doing. I’ve been sharing all the cool toys that I’ve been receiving and adding them to our holiday gift guide because I do think that they are great for your children as well. I have, however, been doing some fun things during the week and sometimes on the weekends. This past weekend, mommy decided that she was going to take me and my siblings to Diana’s Pumpkin Patch. If you’re in Colorado and close by, you may want to check it out. It’s in Canyon City, which is about 45 minutes from my home, but distance wasn’t stopping us. I wanted to check it out. You can see the details about the pumpkin patch in the photo below if you’re interested in visiting.
Entrance fees are:
- $9 Adults ($8 if military with ID) includes a pumpkin
- $8 Kids 12 and under, including a pumpkin
- Free Kids 5 and under (no pumpkin for you, *Seinfeld*)
- $8 Seniors and includes a pumpkin
I’m pretty good when it comes to driving long distances, but this day was just beginning, and it was turning into a doozy! I’m not sure what happened, but I got car sick and threw up all over my clothes in the car. Guess that’s why #1 on mommy’s checklist when traveling is:
Always pack an extra set of clothing!
As if that wasn’t bad enough, once I was done changing, mommy locked the keys for the car inside the car. If you’re a follower on Instagram, you may have seen that post. Luckily, she had her cell phone with her and was able to call Progressive Roadside Assistance for help. Help arrived in about 30 minutes, and we were able to get our keys and get on our way.
To be clear, this was not a free trip for blog-related purposes. This was actually an excursion that the family wanted to do. We paid our entrance fee and we were in. Now let the pictures begin of what I was able to experience for my very first pumpkin patch visit.
Now I have to insert some words here and tell you what happened when we went into the corn maze. Notice how big those corn stalks are? They are bigger than me, my brother, and even mommy. They had a game card that you could use when going through the maze. You got a stamp at each station you went to. Well, this corn maze is huge, and if you visit their website, you’ll be able to see an aerial shot of the maze.
Mommy would not like me telling you this, but we lost my brother Mikael in the maze. He decided that he wanted to go his own way and find things on his own. With the size of the maze, we ended up losing him and going in circles, calling his name. We weren’t the only ones with lost children in the maze. We passed a few other families calling out for their loved ones. Marco! Polo!
We ended up leaving the maze and waiting outside, where he showed up later with another family. Phew!
There were lots to do, including the haystack ride, the duck race at the water pump, going down the slide at the haystacks, and even visiting the animals that they had there.
At the end, I was able to get myself a pumpkin and decided that I wanted a small one just like me, while my brother Mikael got a big one. It was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to go back next year.
Have you visited your pumpkin patch this year, and what fun things did you do there?
