Marvel’s Infinity Stones

Who’s excited to see The Avengers: Infinity War? ✋While I won’t be rushing out on opening night to see the film, there are plans to see it mid-week when the theaters aren’t as crowded. However, in preparation of the film, Madison and I decided to make our own Infinity Stones.

My husband is a big comic book fan, so has been telling me what I should expect to happen in the movie, but I have high hopes that some things may change. While it will be weird seeing Thor without his hammer and an eye patch, I’m really excited to see how it all pans out. So far I have seen all the Avengers movies, along with everything that Marvel has had to offer, and my favorite character thus far has been Dr. Strange.

So how did we go about making these infinity stones and what was the inspiration behind making them? Surprisingly it all started on a Walmart run. I went into the store looking for molds for Easter and found the cutest mold in the cookie aisle. Here’s something you may not realize, we are always baking, crafting or creating something in the kitchen, however, most of it either ends up in our tummies and never on the blog. It takes time to photograph food, and I’d much rather do it for fun with my kids than for work, unless of course it’s so easy that I don’t need to photograph it, such as this.

What are the colors of the Infinity Stones and what are they?

  • Red – The Mind Stone
  • Yellow – The Power Stone
  • Green – The Space Stone
  • Orange – The Reality Stone
  • Purple – The Soul Stone
  • Blue – The Time Stone

And making these Marvel Infinity Stones was so much easier than you’d think.

Marvel’s Infinity Stones

Here is what you’ll need!

Ingredients

Jolly Ranchers in Infinity Stones Colors (5 – cherry, blueberry, grape, orange, lemon, green apple)

Ziploc bag

Mallet or rolling pin

Geometric candy mold

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 1. Begin by placing each flavor jolly rancher in a separate ziploc bag. I suggest putting them on one side of the bag since you may very well end up with holes in the bag, and I’ll explain why in the next step.

Step 2. With your mallet or rolling pin, crush the candy into small pieces. If you crushed them on one side, you can now shake them to the other side that is still intact.

Step 3. Cut a snip into your ziploc bag and use that snip to pour your crushed candy into your mold.

Step 4. Place your mold into your preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes or until melted.

Step 5. Remove from the oven and let cool. Once cooled you can then remove your infinity stones from the mold.

That’s it! You’re all done. You can now hide your stones and have the kids pretend to be Thanos on a quest to collect them all, or eat them. Either way, enjoy!
