Madison Caribbean Adventures – St. Lucia {Almost Wordless Wednesday}

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my Caribbean Adventures. While I have a bit more to share of the lovely Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines where I spent my Christmas vacation, I want to digress for a minute and share another island with you. On our way back to the US we spent an entire day in St. Lucia and got to take a day trip. If you’ve never been to any of the Windward Islands in the Caribbean I would suggest either of those two islands. While I would highly recommend St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia comes in a close second. Both islands have amazing views and both have a volcano believe it or not although they are dormant. You can take day trips to both volcanos. Today I want to share with you some of the photos that I was able to take while in St. Lucia. This will be a 2 part series so be on the lookout next Wednesday for part two. We were able to get so many photos that I don’t want to overload you with too much at once. So enjoy our Almost Wordless Wednesday.

That very first photo is overlooking Castries, the capital of St. Lucia. Believe it or not we weren’t the only ones who decided on taking a day trip.

That’s how bananas are taken care of while they are growing. I even found out that they use different color bags to distinguish which stage the bananas are in before they are cut from the tree.

A view of the Pitons which is two volcanic mountains. You can take day trips there and we were told that it can take about 4 hours to climb. We were very happy just looking.

We had a fun day in St. Lucia and I was able to get a few souvenirs as well. Stay tuned next week for more pictures.

So tell me which Caribbean island are you looking forward to visiting most?
