I am a New Yorker and if it’s one thing that I’ve seen is my fair share of rodents. From the subways to apartments, they are everywhere. I remember once visiting a friend and seeing a mouse scurry across floor trying to make it to another room. Rodents and I aren’t friends, as a matter of fact if there was one pet that I would have never let enter my home it would have been a mice. My eldest even had the nerve to ask if he could get a white one because they were “cute”. I don’t care how “cute” some people think they are, if it’s a mice you’re not getting it. Well while my mind hasn’t changed about mice they were able to get a mouse to enter our home. Introducing the Little Live Pets Lil’ Mouse House complete with pet mouse. Once again Moose Toys came to their rescue.
Once again Moose Toys impressed me by how easy it was to open the package. No scissors needed once again. It took me about a minute to take everything out the box and throw the packaging away. I’m not kidding! The battery comes already installed with 3 button cell batteries. I’m personally not a fan of these type of batteries since they can be hard to come by but I do realize at the size of the mouse, they couldn’t really use anything much bigger.
The Little Live Pets Lil’ Mouse House comes in three pieces and I had to put the pieces together but that also was super easy to do. It does come with your mouse and there are currently two choices of mouse. Blue which is called Snippy and the Pink whose name is Blossom. We got Snippy and cute is an understatement. This is the only time you will hear me call a mouse cute. The house does have a carrying handle so you can transport your mouse wherever you decide to go.
Snippy has an on and off switch so when you’re not playing with him/her you can turn it off to conserve the battery life. It is fun watching him scurry across the floor but it’s even more fun watching him run around his house. He even has a wheel and can use it just like a hamster, which Madison now wants as well. He makes these adorable squeaking sounds and even snores when he’s asleep.
The Little Live Pets Lil’ Mouse House is the next best thing to having an actual mouse or hamster. There is no food to buy, no cage to clean and your little one can just have good old fun while pretending. It’s great watching them pretend to take care of a pet until they do get the real thing.
While the Little Live Pets Lil Mouse House is recommended for ages 5 and up, as you can see it is perfectly safe with someone younger with supervision. It comes complete with One Mouse, One Cage with Track, 3 LR44 batteries and an instruction booklet.
Just check out Madison playing with her new mouse.
The Little Live Pets Lil Mouse House is available for sale at most major toy retailers.
