I love music! No matter what kind of music. As long as there’s a beat I’m going to sway along to it. Mommy loves to say it’s the Caribbean in me. For those who don’t know, mommy originally grew up on a Caribbean Island called St. Vincent and the Grenadines where they participate in a thing called Carnival. Now if you don’t know what a Carnival is I suggest you read up all about it. You would totally understand where my love of music comes from.
Now Jammy Jams Present Once Upon This Rock is a totally different type of music. Not what I expected at all. Yes mommy and I saw the lullaby renditions of Christian Rock Hits and so we were expecting to hear music in a lullaby form. We got it alright but it was all instrumental. No words at all so if you’re expecting words you’ll be disappointed but not for too long I can assure you. This makes it perfect to sing along, however badly you want without the artist sounding better than you do.
Don’t get me wrong because I said I was disappointed, remember I said I loved music right. I’ve been listening to classical music from the day I was born so listening to an all instrumental lullaby CD was no biggie to me. I actually enjoyed it. Don’t believe me? Mommy actually got a video of me swaying along to the music. I asked her to include it so you can see for yourself. I actually even tried singing along.
Now this CD comes with 10 songs all listed above in that beautiful picture that Jammy Jams said I could use. Mommy and I didn’t really recognize any of the songs besides Fireflies by Owl City. It was a regular in our house when it came out. Mommy actually sang along to that one. Mommy is a horrible singer by the way but she did try. Thank goodness it was all instrumental.
I did wish that the leaflet that came along with my CD contained the words. Maybe mommy would have been able to do a better job at singing.
Now if you want to get your very own CD you can order it from their Website. If rock music isn’t your thing they have lots of other genres you can choose from. Know what’s awesome about this as well? If you don’t want to get a CD because you think you might lose it, or your little one like me might end up breaking it, then Jammy Jams lullabies are also available on iTunes. You can find them under the artist Jammy Jams.
You can also connect with Jammy Jams via their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube pages.
Now listen to a sample of Be My Escape and watch me swaying away.
