When I said that things were going to change on Growing Up Madison, I truly meant it. While we’ve cut back considerably on our sponsored posts and have given a lot more content in terms of parenting tips and recipes, I’ve even incorporated a few mommy reviews as I like to call them. After all while this is still primarily Madison’s blog and all about Madison and the things she likes, mommy likes to have a bit of fun too. With summer being here it means that its time for the bigger bulkier clothing to disappear. I grew up originally in the Caribbean where I was on the beach every weekend. I could actually see the water from my porch. Back then it was all about the two pieces because I have to admit I had the body in my youth. Now after 4 children my body isn’t the same. I’m sure a lot of moms can relate. After having our kids our body while still our own sometimes feels as though it isn’t. I have rolls in places I didn’t even know that rolls can exist and while I’ve been saying that I need to get back into shape and head to the gym, it still has yet to happen. With a vacation that is in less than a week, in a state that is known for it’s beaches, I needed a swimsuit that would not only look good on me but would hide a few, I mean a LOT of my flaws. Lucky for me UjENA Swimswear came to my rescue.
Here’s a little bit of information about UjENA.
UjENA is a USA-Made designer swimwear manufacturer whose swimsuit collections include bikinis, one piece swim suits, prints, full coverage bathing suits, Swimdresses, Vintage style swimwear, Brazilian, thong, g-string, sheer, gauze, crochet, sheer when wet, tankini and tonga swim wear. UjENA offers mix and match swimwear and separates in halter tops, triangle tops, classic twist tops, push-up tops and underwire tops. Bottoms range from high waisted full coverage, to shaper bottoms, cheeky styles, scrunch back, side tie and booty shorts.
In a nut-shell, no matter what you’re looking for UjENA has it.
For me I needed something that was conservative. Remember I’m no Victorias Secret model and I’ve learned to embrace the skin I’m in. I’ve learned to accept my flaws and my cellulite and my rolls. While I would have loved to wear a bikini, I’m still rather self-conscious and most certainly would have wanted a coverup which they also carry. One pieces are pretty nice too but for my swimwear I decided I would choose the next best thing. I decided on the Marilyn Ruffle Tankini.
The Marilyn Ruffle Tankini was perfect for me. The straps are thick enough to support the top half of my body. The top has a tummy control lining and I was really happy that the material didn’t bunch or ride up while I wore it. This tankini didn’t just stop at waist level like most tankinis do and I was extremely happy with that too. I had a classical c-section with all of my children and I’m very self conscious about my scar so this hid everything. It also had ruffles at the bottom that made me still feel feminine.
Now the one thing that I TRULY LOVED about UjENA is their size assurance program. They’re the only swimwear company that offers this. For a small fee, no more than $16 for their more expensive suits, you can return your top/bottom or one piece swimswear for a bigger or smaller size up to a year after purchase. UjENA knows that most women change size throughout the year. For example I gained almost 20lbs within 2 months and couldn’t believe that I now had to buy new jeans. Now if only other companies did this I would not have to spend as much money as I had to. That is truly amazing!
UjENA swimwear is truly top notch and whether you’re conservative like me, or looking for a more racy look, they have just what you’re looking for. So check them out for yourself if you’re in the market for a new swimsuit this swimswear season. I know that my next swimsuit is definitely going to be another UjENA and I’m totally getting that size assurance. UjENA Swimwear totally gets my THUMBS UP!
