It’s Fashion Friday and this post has been long in the making. We’ve actually had this shoe for a while but because of the bad weather we’ve had lately here in Colorado, we’ve had to put most of our Fashion Friday post on hold. It’s still cold outside and the snow just seems endless. With Spring right on the horizon though we’ve decided that it’s time to begin our Fashion Friday anew. Today I want to share with you a popular Brazilian brand Melissa Shoes. While Melissa Shoes is designed for grown ups they have now introduced a Melissa Mini that is perfect for little ones like me. The line will is currently sold in department stores including Bloomingdales, Saks, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and is 100% eco-friendly and recyclable. Guess what? I was able to score a pair for myself and I can’t wait to share it with you.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when my boots showed up. I was sent the Mini Melissa ‘Sugar’ Rain Boots. I was first impressed with the design of my box. The animal characters on my box sure was an eye catcher. This boot is also definitely perfect for the Spring. It is made of PVC upper and has a lightly cushioned textile lining footbed and a durable rubber outsole. It also includes a snap closure which makes it easy for me to take off and on.
Another aspect of this shoe was how flexible it was. While there isn’t much support in the ankle department, the shoe moves very easily on your little one’s feet. It is very flexible and and easily bendable. I also love the detailing. The Rhino really stood out, from his tusk to his little pointy ears.
Your little ones are going to enjoy splashing through puddles and being in the rain in the Mini Melissa Rain Sugar Boots. Now while I’m loving my rain boots, Mini Melissa has lots of other styles for your little ones. From cute little sandals to ballet, there’s a style for you. Price range from $50 and up which I find is a good price since I have spent a lot more on shoes. While shopping for your little ones be sure to check out the adult products available for yourself as well.
I can’t wait for Spring to officially come so I can get a lot more wear from these. One thing to note is that they do not have half sizes so you have to order a half size up. They do run true to size and you’re going to want that. You want to wear them for as long as you can. They will be a hit among your little ones just like they are with me. They definitely get my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
