Make Breakfast Fun with Lucky Charms and Get Your Pre-Schooler to Eat Breakfast!
I have to admit that sometimes, I’m a big kid at heart, especially when it comes to my breakfast cereals. One of my all time favorite cereals has always been Lucky Charms, and if you happen to come to my house, you’ll always find a box in my pantry. I have been buying them for many years since my son first fell in love with the cereal. I remember one day trying some of it and I was hooked since then. It’s been over 15 years and I’m still hooked. My daughter Madison is very much like me and love most of the cereals I like, so it’s easy to feed her. We also have something in common, we both like to save our marshmallows for last, you have to agree with me that it’s the best part of Lucky Charms, and they’re magically delicious! While Madison loves her Lucky Charms cereal, she’s also a very picky eater, and getting her to eat breakfast can be a bit of a challenge at times. However, I have some tips on how you can get your own picky pre-schooler to eat breakfast with the help of Lucky Charms cereal.
Make Breakfast Fun
Who says breakfast has to be boring? Lucky Charms is a fun cereal that everyone loves and one way to make it fun is to separate the marshmallows from the rest of the cereal. I can’t tell you how many times Madison and I have eaten breakfast together and the one with the most rainbows win. With that in mind I want to share my second tip.
It’s OK to Play With Your Food
While we wouldn’t necessarily encourage playing with your food in a restaurant, playing with your food in the comfort of your home, as long as you have the time is A-OK. Count the marshmallows in your Lucky Charms, you can even name the colors and the shapes.
Make Breakfast a Learning Experience
While naming the colors and the shapes in your Lucky Charms, your little one may not realize that they’re learning. They only know that they’re having fun. You can count how many rainbows you have, how many have charms, which color do you see the most? There are so many ways to incorporate learning with your breakfast, and once again Lucky Charms is a fun way to make breakfast learning fun.
Add Fruits
Cut their favorite fruits into shapes and have your kids add it to their cereal. It’s also a great way to give them that added vitamin without taking a vitamin pill, and you can get them started on their servings of fruit for the day.
Lucky Charms is available in both original and chocolate flavor, and did you know that they’re gluten free? Now you have no reason to resist trying this magically delicious cereal, because sometimes all you need is a bit of luck to start your day.
