Help Subway Restaurants Support Local Charities

Summer is almost over and that means for us with kids that schools will be reopening. Unlike the East Coast our kids go back to school in the middle of August. That means that we’ve already done our school shopping and we’re already Back In School. Summer is filled with lots of sunshine, fun and for some travel. This Summer has been special this year when it comes to SUBWAY® Restaurants!

Participating SUBWAY® Restaurants located in the U.S.A. and Canada came together with several charities as an act of giving back to communities. Their campaign “You Share. We Share” is being participated by over 7,800 SUBWAY® Restaurant locations to help support different charities. Charities is something that we here at Growing Up Madison love to promote.

Each city has a specific charity sponsor. Since April 15th there have been 91 stores in the Colorado Springs/Pueblo, Colorado area participating in the “You Share. We Share.” campaign. The City of Colorado Springs where we are currently located is supporting the Special Olympics Colorado as part of the “You Share. We Share” campaign. This campaign encourages all to come out on the weekends and enjoy what SUBWAY® Restaurants have to offer, such as their very famous and delicious sandwiches. As a result, SUBWAY® will share back by donating a percentage of their weekend sales; for every 1% increase in weekend sales from April 15th to August 31st, SUBWAY® Restaurants will donate $13,000 up to a whopping $65,000 to Special Olympics Colorado. So hurry in to Subway Restaurants this weekend as it will be the last weekend that your purchase will go to support the Special Olympics Colorado!

We here at Growing Up Madison are happy to be supporting the Special Olympics. Not only is this a charity close to our heart because as you know we have an autistic member in our family. The “Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformation power and joy of sports, every day around the world”. Health and education are very important building blocks for everyone no matter what age and/or disability. Specifically, the Special Olympics is the largest sports organization in the world that serves millions of people with intellectual disabilities worldwide.

So grab your favorite sandwich at SUBWAY® this weekend and give the Special Olympics the help they need.
