What’s My One Big Happy? It’s Gymboree and Family!

There is nothing that makes me happier than shopping and I think Madison has gotten my bug. Whenever we go out shopping she just has to tag along. It doesn’t matter if it’s to the grocery store or just to get gas for the car, she hears the words, “I’m going out” and she wants to go along with me. This past year hasn’t seen a lot of happy moments but we have had a few happy moments in between the bad ones. One of the things we love to do as a family is go out to eat. I know I love to cook, but I love it when we go out to eat together as a family. It brings us closer together and I also don’t have to worry about cooking and the dreaded word, cleaning. Gymboree also makes me happy. I would have to say that they’re my One Big Happy besides family of course.

There is nothing I love more than going into the store and seeing all the brand new colorful designs. Who doesn’t love shopping for children’s clothing, whether it’s for your own child, a relatives child, or for a friend. Something about seeing all the colors just makes me smile. I’ve also shared some happy moments at Gymboree myself. I may have mentioned that Madison’s coming home from the hospital outfit was actually from Gymboree, so she’s been wearing Gymboree since birth. That’s one happy moment that I will always remember and why I would always be one of their favorite customer.

This holiday is going to be different than the ones we’ve experienced in the past. This holiday we will be spending it in a new home and with just the family. While every year we would either head to the Caribbean or Canada, this year will be spent in Colorado and will be our first Christmas in Colorado. We’ve already purchased the personalized stockings to go over the fireplace and Madison knows that Santa will be coming down the chimney with gifts for Christmas. She doesn’t know which gifts she’ll be getting but she knows there’ll be a gift under the tree. We’ll be putting our tree together and we all have our own individual ornament that will be going on the tree.

Gymboree knows that life is full big happy moments and usually those moments consists of family. Whether they are close by or far away there is no-one we celebrate more than family. We’re a military family so our family are in different states and countries but we will celebrate by teleconferencing on Christmas Day. We always call everyone on that day just to say “Merry Christmas” and to catch up on what’s been going on during the year.

Since I very rarely discuss the military on the blog I decided that we were going to do our photo shoot on the Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado where Madison was born. What better way to celebrate Gymboree’s new line than to celebrate something else that we love as well. Our military service members. They’re also my One Big Happy because they’re family.
