Frankenstein Rice Krispy Treats

These Frankenstein Rice Krispy Treats are not only a fun Halloween treat for the kids but they’re also easy to make too.

Can you believe that Halloween is only two weeks away? It seems like just the other day we were having lots of sunshine and it was summer. Halloween has just got to be one of my favorite days, though. Not only do I get to dress up and pretend to be someone else, and I’m not talking scary; that’s what my brothers do, but I get to enjoy all the treats and sweets for one day only.

Yes, mommy isn’t a big fan of candy, so we very rarely get to enjoy them unless someone is having a party or it’s Halloween, so you can just imagine my excitement for the next two weeks. Today, I want to share with you another treat. This one is so amazingly simple but tastes so good, and I know you’re going to love it. Check out our Frankenstein Rice Krispy Treat.

Here is what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

5 oz. mini marshmallows

2 cups Rice Krispy Cereal

Green Food Coloring

1/2 cup Chocolate Chips

Candy Eyeballs

Black Gel Frosting

Instructions:

First, begin by melting your butter in a large bowl. It will take about 20 seconds in the microwave

Then, add your marshmallows and coat with butter

Add in your green food coloring and stir to spread

Put in microwave to melt marshmallows, this should take 45 seconds to 1 minute

Once completely melted, add in your rice krispy cereal and mix together

Press into a 9 x 9 pan and allow to cool completely

Cut into rectangles; this will make 6 Frankenstein Rice Krispies

After treats are cooled completely, melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips in microwave in 30-second intervals

Once completely melted, dip the top in your chocolate to make the hair of your Frankenstein!

Now, using your black gel frosting, draw on your mouth as well as two dots to act as “glue” for your candy eyeballs

Finally, stick on your candy eyeballs and allow everything to cool

Eat up and enjoy!!
