It has been a while since we’ve done a book review. I have to admit that I have quite a few books to share with you and I promise to do a whole lot better. I am actually thinking of making one of my days dedicated to just sharing a book or two with you. Maybe we can call it Toddler Book Talk Tuesday? Just throwing some ideas out there. On Growing Up Madison I talk a lot about encouraging your little ones to read and reasons why you should read early to your child.

Did you know that infants are able to comprehend books by looking at visuals and responding to the story when spoken to? But books that are specified for infants are often grown out of by the time they are toddlers. MarbleSpark’s personalized children’s book, Following Featherbottom, is not only uniquely personalized for your child throughout the story, but it also grows with your youngster through the stages of childhood.

In this uniquely crafted book, you will follow Felix Featherbottom and his sidekick Pierre du Pond as they race around the globe finding the letters for your child’s name. From an A in Antarctica to a Z in Zimbabwe, Felix and Pierre run into fantastic characters and adventures that will keep your child entertained through the years.

Now the ordering process for this book is one of the simplest we have yet to use when it comes to ordering personalized products. Simply input your child’s name, date of birth, a dedication, choose the color of the book you want, and voila you’re done! You can preview every single page of the book before your purchase. Now that is what I call easy!

With Following Featherbottom, your little ones are fascinated by the vibrant illustrations and soothing rhymes, toddlers learn to recognize and spell their name, and kids get a geography lesson and fun “I Spy” items in each illustration. This book is not just a learning tool; it’s a one-of-a-kind keepsake that children will cherish for years to come.

Mine started all the way in Mexico. Yes M for Madison and M for Mexico, and ended up in Rio which is the last letter in my last name. The rhyme truly captured my attention and there’s nothing quite like hearing your name not only read out loud, but spelled out loud as well. If you notice on the side of the page there are also other M words. In my case I learned that Macaw, Manhole, Mariachi Band, Melons etc., all begin with the letter M and they’re all included in the photo as well. What a great way to learn!

Following Featherbottom and all of MarbleSpark’s personalized books make wonderful gifts for births, birthdays, holidays, and just because! I truly enjoyed following Felix’s adventure trying to get my name together for me. While I may not be old enough to read, I do enjoy looking at the photos and can’t wait until I can read this aloud on my own. It’s a great way to learn how to spell my name and it’s educational value can’t be beat.

Following Featherbottom should be on your list of books to give this holiday! Personalized books make the best gifts, since it shows that you care enough to make it specially just for your little ones. Little ones also love knowing that it’s all about them. MarbleSpark has just what you need. Pick up a hardcover copy today at Markblespark’s website for only $32.95. Following Featherbottom gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
