If you are looking for a nice trip away where there is no worry about losing your tan then this state will not disappoint. New Mexico is the second sunniest state after Arizona. Iowa
If you’re a movie nerd or a Broadway fanatic, then this is one state not to be based in. Plenty of people have taken the starring role in “The Music Man” on stage, including Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman in 2020. If you take a trip to Iowa, you’ll be able to uncover the fascinating roots of this musical. You can wander around The Music Man Square and see where the classic film was shot on location. The best part about this is that the whole location is designed to match the 1912 setting. As such, it is one of the few places in America where it feels as though you are taking a trip back in time.
West Virginia
West Virginia is one of the states mentioned in John Denver’s classic tune “Take Me Home, Country Road.” If you visit the state yourself, you’ll find that it’s not hard to see why. Arguably, one of the greatest natural selling points of this location is the Monongahela National Forest. Nestled high in the mountains, this forest has an ethereal landscape with many plants and trees that are almost exclusive to Northern Canada. We recommend that you explore this state with a wonderful drive up the Highland Scenic Highway. This is particularly beautiful during the fall, but it holds plenty of wonders all year round.
