Asheville, North Carolina

Asheville is known for being a charming city that the whole family can enjoy. Full of family-friendly activities this Blue Ridge Mountain area has something for everyone. 

Scenic drives will allow you to enjoy the area as you view the beautiful land around you. While visiting, there are plenty of places to hike or take an outdoor adventure. Downtown Asheville is also full of local galleries, boutiques, and restaurants that you can enjoy while you are there.

San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio has a lot of fun and exciting attractions that you can enjoy throughout the year, but some of the best festivities start the day after Thanksgiving. Don’t worry, there are plenty of things to do on Thanksgiving Day and the days leading up to the holiday, but we recommend staying after to join in on the celebrations.

Delicious feasts are available throughout the holidays and downtown is the place to go for a tasty Thanksgiving meal. You also won’t want to miss out on the San Antonio Museum of Art. Admission is free and the museum offers plenty of exhibits that both adults and children can enjoy.

One of the favorite attractions is the Holiday River Parade that is held the day after Thanksgiving. There is a beautiful holiday display of lights and elaborate floats that attracts many visitors and locals that love to come out and enjoy the festivities. 

Park City, Utah

Want to mix it up for Thanksgiving and see something other than the fall colors? Park City is a beautiful city that has the charm of a small town with amazing cozy resorts to relax in.

In Sarasota, we love the Thanksgiving Eve Sunset Tour which takes you around the area onboard the Shellebrate so you can enjoy the sunset. Thanksgiving is also the time to take advantage of the Florida Turkey Trot, local diners and restaurants in Sarasota that offer special Thanksgiving meals, and if you enjoy music, you can attend some of the music shows from various attractions in the area.

Bradenton is another family-friendly city to visit while you are in Florida for the Thanksgiving holiday. Just like Sarasota, Bradenton hosts various events and local attractions put on special Thanksgiving shows. Restaurants and diners celebrate by offering delicious meals and buffets that the family can enjoy for a laid-back and relaxing Thanksgiving dinner.
