I have been trying to live a much healthier lifestyle. This past year has been really hectic and just filled with…. I’m trying to find the perfect word to use here. Let’s call it strife. While I’ve had a fun filled year, filled with trips to Europe and visits to the “Happiest Place on Earth”, Disneyland, both in Paris and California, I’ve also had some not so happy times. You may have noticed that I’ve been absent lately here. That’s because I lost a family member very dear to me. I originally started this post and I revamped it completely because of that loss. Today I want to tell you that you really don’t know how long you have with a loved one so cherish every moment, and don’t forget to tell them that you love them. You never know when you’ll ever get that chance again. With all that said, you also need to focus on your own health and wellbeing. That’s why I have been drinking my Daily Greens.
I know that I am not the healthiest apple in the bushel and it’s not my job to tell you what to do with your life. I try and avoid junk food at all cost and I also stay away from soda and candy. My kids would tell you that they live for Halloween because it’s the one day that they get to really eat candy, that is until November 1st comes along, because then I take it all away. However, that didn’t stop me from having a high bad cholesterol and diabetes diagnoses at my last doctor’s appointment. The one thing that she stressed to me was to watch my diet. Here I was thinking that I was eating great, doing everything that I needed to stay in shape, including working out, but it just wasn’t enough. So when I was introduced to the Daily Greens Half Pints, I was intrigued. They’re actually considered probiotics smoothies, and trust me, kids love them too!
I’m not a fan of veggies and there are lots of veggies that I don’t eat. However, when that veggie is combined with a drink mixed with my favorite of all sugars, FRUITS, I’m always intrigued. So I decided to give them a try and now I’m hooked. These are not diet drinks, but you do get your daily servings of fruits and vegetables with them. One thing to note is that they’re also organic and they’re a great way to hydrate. All of the juices start with dark leafy greens and they are all cold-pressed. If you’re not sure about cold-pressed drinks, they are actually better for you since they tend to retain more of their nutrients compared to those made with heat. The downside to cold-pressed drinks are that they are a little bit more expensive, but guess what? The things that are good for you usually are.
However Daily Greens are reasonably priced and you’re able to get them at your local Costco. That’s where I actually had my first sample and now I pick them up there. I even have my kids who aren’t big fans of veggies like I am, drinking them as well. My favorite is totally the Carrot Kick, which is a tasty blend of carrot, kale, coconut water and pineapple, while Madison’s surprisingly is Green Thing. There is also another flavor Dragon Power which tastes really great too.
Daily Greens Half Pints are all naturally vegan, gluten and soy-free. The contain no preservatives or artificial flavors. They are also made from raw, organic and fair trade ingredients. Straight from the farm directly to you in a drink that you will not want to put down.
Let’s discuss: How do you get your daily servings of fruits and veggies?
The makers of Daily Greens would LOVE for you to give them a try as well, so they’re offering one of my readers a chance to win a 12 pack of the Half Pints, so you too can share in the love.
