My furbabies are part of the family. That means they sleep on the couch, sleep on the bed, sleep practically wherever they want just as my kids do. They are also fed the best just like my family because they are family. When you decide that you want to become a parent to a furbaby, you have to also decide that you’re going to be taking care of your pet just like you would any member of the family. Since we’re a family who believe in having most of the chemicals out of our products I also wanted products that would be healthy for Bentley. Bentley is our cocker spaniel and he can’t make up his mind if he’s human or a dog. Just recently Bentley received some goodies fromDr. Harvey’s and today I want to share with you one of them. I want to share them all with you and I will as they are used. You know me, I don’t rush my reviews. I want to give you a true and honest review. Today’s product is the Dr. Harvey’s Herbal Shampoo.
Bentley can get smelly and when I say smelly I mean really smelly. You know that wet dog smell? Well Bentley gets that after about a week of not bathing which means that I have to give him a bath at least once a week. Cocker Spaniels are also known for ear infections so I also have to keep his ear clean. When I look for products for Bentley I want them to be mild and gentle. I don’t want products drying out his lush coat and I don’t want toxic ingredients in his product either. It’s the same with his food. I want it to be as natural as possible. Well I got a winner with Dr. Harvey’s Herbal Shampoo.
I’m going to be really honest with you here. I took a look at the ingredients and even you can use this. This contained no chemicals and no artificial ingredients, and quite a lot of the ingredients are things that are even in my very own shampoo. They are also products that you even have in your kitchen such as organic coconut and olive oil.
This shampoo also contains no Sodium Laurel Sulfate. SLS is found in most skin products that foam and this is something that I had no idea about until I read about it on Dr. Harvey’s website.
“Animals exposed to SLS can experience eye damage, depression, labored breathing, diarrhea, severe skin irritation, and even death. Young eyes may not develop properly if exposed to SLS. SLS may damage the skin’s immune system and can be transformed into nitrosamines, a potent class of carcinogens. SLS can remain in the body for up to five days and maintain residual levels in the heart, lungs, liver and brain.”
For the past two weeks we have used Dr. Harvey’s Herbal Shampoo on Bentley and both times we have had amazing results. It lathers up great and the smell is not overpowering. He comes out smelling rather clean and bed ready as I like to call him when he smells great. His coat is shiny and nice when he’s all dry and did I mention that he smells great! That’s the one thing I really do love, great smell without all the chemicals and Bentley loves the smell too. Do we recommend Dr. Harvey’s Herbal Shampoo for your pet? You bet! It’s why it gets Bentley’s TWO PAWS UP!
Now Dr. Harvey’s not only has products for your dogs but also for your cats and birds as well.
