Disneyland Paris for Adults

Think Disneyland Paris is just for kids? Then think again… there are lots of great reasons to indulge and turn back time for an adults escape.

We recently shared some tips on traveling to Disneyland Paris with little ones. However, did you know that 40% of guests go to Disney Parks without children? Proving it’s not only children and families who want to have a magical Disney getaway. In fact, millions of adults visit Disneyland Paris each year, for a fun-filled, relaxing escape – whether it’s a chance to celebrate a birthday with friends or a romantic break… here are just some of the many reasons a trip to Disneyland Paris is perfect for adults too:

Big Thrills

If you’re after big thrills, Disneyland Paris has it covered, from the exhilarating adventure on Indiana Jones™ and the Temple of Peril, riding the tidal wave through Crush’s Coaster®, reaching dizzying heights on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™, to the adrenaline-inducing Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith and Space Mountain Mission 2… there is something for all levels of thrill seekers. What’s more, the majority of these attractions have the Fastpass system (a free service allowing guests to limit waiting times for attractions), so your next big #DisneyThrill could be closer than you think.

Head over to the Walt Disney Studios Park and shrink down to the size of Rémy whilst feasting on French cuisine in Bistrot Chez Rémy; a Parisian restaurant straight from the world of Ratatouille. Pull up a giant champagne cork and take a seat at your jam jar lid table in this larger-than-life eatery. Here, oversized cocktail umbrellas, cookbooks and cutlery give you a rat’s eye view, whilst you indulge in Rémy’s delicious delights. Guests can also step next door to board a ratmobile in Ratatouille: The Adventure, a multi-sensory attraction like no other.

Pampering

If your ideal getaway conjures up thoughts of rest and relaxation, then you can holiday in true prince or princess style with a stay at the luxurious Disneyland Hotel. Glide into a magical life of luxury and indulgence, just a short stroll from the gates of the Disneyland Park. This majestic Victorian-inspired hotel delivers the finest Disney service and hospitality, and guests can enjoy up to two Extra Magic Hours in parts of Disneyland Park on certain days. Treat yourself to a delightful afternoon of relaxation by the pool or at the Celestia Spa, and later on, take advantage of this magical setting by sipping a cocktail, beer or glass of wine at Café Fantasia.

For sport and health lovers, fitness centers and swimming pools can be found at selected Disneyland Paris hotels, and there is also an 18-hole golf course at Golf Disneyland where you can relax, take in the scenery and perfect your swing.

Entertainment

Escape from the daily grind and have fun in a place where Simba’s “Hakuna Matata” philosophy takes on its full meaning, where guests soon realize they have no worries, wear Mickey ears with pride and even hum Disney classics while strolling down Main Street U.S.A. Recapture childhood memories and wave at favorite characters as they pass by in Disney Magic on Parade! It’s a perfect chance to get selfies or make a short shareable video during this spectacular, daily parade. Then, why not fly away with Dumbo or Peter Pan? There’s no age limit to either of these timeless adventures and both attractions are amongst the biggest hits at Disney Parks.

Romance

Celebrate your own fairy tale to remember with a romantic stay at Disneyland Paris. Whether it’s to mark Valentine’s Day, an anniversary or just a weekend away for two, enjoy magical moments with your loved one in the dreamiest of settings. Why not indulge in sumptuous spa treatments at Disneyland Hotel’s Celestia Spa? You could even follow this with a romantic dining experience at Pizzeria Bella Notte, where you could recreate the classic scene in which Disney’s Lady and the Tramp share a bowl of pasta. As the day draws to an end, discover the spectacular night-time show, Disney Dreams! in which fireworks light up Sleeping Beauty Castle with timeless Disney stories, ensuring your day is truly #DisneyRomantic.

Dining

Lunch like a royal amongst prince and princesses at Auberge de Cendrillon. Make the most of this magical dining experience by getting your own photographs and shareable video clips with the greatest fairy tale heroines and their princes. After dessert, head to the courtyard for a “happily ever after” photo in front of Cinderella’s Coach.  Alternatively, escape to Jasmine and Aladdin’s kingdom in Adventureland and dine at Restaurant Agrabah Café, a sumptuous Mediterranean and Middle Eastern buffet set in an atmosphere worthy of an authentic, ancient Arabian bazaar.

Shopping

No short break is complete without some shopping time. Take some Disney magic home with you and go on a spree in the myriad park boutiques or in Disney Village, and uncover the latest must-have items. Shopping and Disneyland Paris are also synonymous with the nearby La Vallée Village designer outlet. Located just a few minutes from the Disney Parks (at Val d’Europe, and via hotel shuttle service), this luxury outlet is the go-to destination for major international fashion and lifestyle brands at reduced prices.

Nightlife

Sit back, relax and savor delicious cocktails in the New York City Bar (Disney’s Hotel New York). From highbrow to hair-raising, visitors to this smart uptown bar are spoilt for choice when it comes to fine wines, beers and mixed drinks. Mirroring a traditional Manhattan nightspot, this is the place to toast and savor your Disney adventure and memories. The most ardent revelers can also make the most of the nearby Sports Bar or even Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon at Disney Village with its bar, concerts and dance floor.

Knowing what you now know about Disneyland Paris, don’t feel that you’re obligated to take the kids, it’s perfect ok to leave the kids at home. After all, grown-ups deserve to have a bit of fun too!
