When mommy was contacted by Elemental T’s and asked to take a look at their products there was no way she was going to say no. There was quite a few reasons but the main one being that they were right out of Brooklyn, NY where mommy and daddy originated from. Yes all my family are New Yorkers but me having been born here in Colorado. While I know nothing about New York besides looking at the photos that mommy shared just recently in her Welcome to NYC post, I would love to visit one day and sit on the stoop of a brownstone. Who wouldn’t?
Elemental T’s is a new Brooklyn-based, mom-founded, kids’ t-shirt company that aims to not only embrace, but to celebrate the curiosity that seems such a universal characteristic in young children. Their shirts are bright and colorful and the designs are meant to fuel their already innate interest in the natural world and in machines.

I am naturally curious. I want to see and know what everything is and although I have now developed a sense of fear with regard to certain things, there are things that I have no fear of whatsoever. I was sent the Lionfish and the Treefrog tee and I was very impressed with their attention to details. Let me begin to tell you that these are all original designs that are sketched by a local talented Brooklyn artist, and every shirt is screen printed by hand in New York City.

Ok so there is a reason that mommy decided to post the photos from the website for you to look at. Do you know those companies whose pictures look amazing on the website but when you get them you’re astounded? You’re like….this looks nothing like the picture! Well Elemental T’s doesn’t disappoint. What I saw what what I received, although my hot pink Lionfish shirt did look a lot more hot pink in reality, but I loved it!
Now on to what I really love about these fact learning tees.
- These tees are all designed and printed right here in the good old USA which we love!
- They are made of 100% high quality cotton that is machine washable.
- They are individually screen printed by hand making them very unique and each tells some interesting details about the animal or object depicted.
- The color choices are great but so wish they included a few more.
- The shirts are very unisex in style so can be worn with boy or girl.
- Sizes run from size 2T – 5/6
- Each tee comes with small fact card and a toy magnifying glass to encourage a sense of discovery. Another wow factor of mine. (Magnifying glasses are only approved for children above 3 so it’s not included with the size 2T)
I do wish however that these ran in larger sizes. They do seem to run small. I wear a size 2T – 3T in clothing and these fit in the range of a 2T although I was sent the 3T. For those older kids who would also love the experience of owning one of these unique tee, maybe there might be plans to start making them bigger but as of now they are for toddler to Kindergartener age group.
They do wash really well in the washer and mommy has had no problems with that. They do shrink after that first initial wash but since then they have been great. For you moms who don’t like spending tons of money having to replace tees these are perfect for you but we suggest sizing up. They are a bit pricey running at $22 per shirt but you do get what you pay for. A very high quality made in the USA tee for your little one.
Educational and fun is such a great combination and they both come together here. I can’t begin to tell you how much fun I had using that magnifying glass and looking at things in my front yard. Elemental T’s will make great gifts for all the little boys and girls in your life. Let them explore the world and give them that sense of discovery with Elemental T’s. They definitely get my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
