Delta LX Stroller – Review

Disclaimer: I received a stroller from Delta Children. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own.

This review has been long in coming. With the bad weather that we have been having it has taken us quite some time to do this review. For that we apologize but we wanted to be sure that you would be able to see all the features and we also wanted to be able to test drive it in all kind of weather. Now that we have used it for a while we can give you our honest review. Being a toddler there are times when I can go to the store without the need of a stroller. For those times when we are going to the mall with the intention of spending a few hours, then there is the need for a stroller. I’m only 2 years old so standing or walking around for too long tire me out and I need the convenience of stroller to help me. When Delta Children Products offered to send me one of their stroller to review, mommy and I said “Sure! Let’s see if they can top the one that we are currently using”. Now as a baby it was fine having a big stroller with all the gadgets. With a toddler there is really no need for all of that. Something compact and easy to fold and carry is all that’s needed.

Delta sent me one of their stroller from their LX Stroller line and I have to be honest with you. This was one of the easiest strollers to assemble. No tools needed. The only thing that mommy had to do was insert the two front wheels into their respective places, add the cup holder and put on the canopy. Easy as 1-2-3.

Now the LX Stroller provides comfort and safety for your little ones. It’s recommended for use up to 35 pounds and with the full multi-position recline makes it the perfect toddler stroller.

Features:

360° Shock Absorbing Front Wheels. The fronts wheels swivel as indicated a full 360 degree and can also be locked if you would prefer to keep them in place. Being shock absorbent it does make for an easy ride.

7.5 inches back wheels with brake. Now this is what mommy and I loved. The fact that I can stay in one place without having to worry about the stroller rolling away. It is easy accessible and all you need to do is step on it. Just make sure you hear that click when you do it.

Storage Bag. The storage bag isn’t that big but if you have a toddler you may not be taking a lot of things with you. This can hold a small diaper bag or even a big shopping bag if you desire.

Easy to use seat back adjustment. Ok I have to admit that this wasn’t that easy for mommy to use. Mommy had a problem adjusting my seat with the cord housing. In order to recline the seat you had to press on the red button and pull away towards you to recline the seat. To return to the upright position, you hold the cord loop while moving the cord housing towards the backseat. For some reason pushing on the red button was a struggle for mommy.

Now this was one that mommy loved because its something that’s not always found on a toddler stroller. Finally someone thought of the grown ups as well. Although this can be used for me too. The cup holder. Now you have someplace to place your cup of coffee while you’re pushing us around.

Personal Storage Bag. This was another hit. This was a pretty big storage bag and a place for you to put the extra diapers or wipes, your cell phone and keys or anything that you need to store. It is secured by velcro but is pretty sturdy.

Large Canopy With Peek a Boo Window. Now you can check on your little one while you stroll around the mall. Maybe your little one is too quiet which could mean one of a lot things. It’s usually that we are up to no good, getting into something we shouldn’t be doing, or that we are fast asleep. Now you can check up on us without disturbing us by coming to the front. Sometimes we just want to be left alone.

5 Point Safety Harness. This is where the safety part of this stroller comes in strongly. Sure the brakes count but we are a lot more secure in a 5 point safety harness compared to a 3. Now one thing that I also need to mention is that this stroller comes with a reflective piping as well so you can be seen easily in the dark. Yes Delta thought of everything. The shoulder pads are also padded for comfort.

Carry Handle. Now this was very convenient. Once you have your stroller folded the soft comfort carrying handle makes it very easy to carry around. It folds compactly making it easy to store.

Was there a con to this stroller?

Well yes there were two things that mommy wanted to bring to their attention. Daddy is 6′ 5″ tall while mommy is 5′ 11″. The handle bars are not adjustable making this not a great stroller for very tall people. Seat adjustment was not as smooth as we thought it would be either. It really took some time trying to get the seat adjusted. Mommy finally gave up and left me semi-reclined which was fine with me. Now if the cord housing was easier this would certainly be a 5 star stroller but instead we give it a 4.5. Maybe mommy just got one that was slightly defective and the others do work. If that’s the case then this is definitely a 5 star product.

Overall impression?

This is a great stroller for toddlers and parents alike. It folds compactly and fits very easily in the trunk of both cars without taking up too much room. The storage baskets and the cup holder gives it that added touch of convenience and mommy and I love the reflective piping. The canopy is a great size for toddlers but if you are using this with a smaller child you may want to add an extender. It does give a smooth ride and we have tried it in the snow, gravel and grass with no issues. The Delta LX is JPMA Certified, meets or exceeds all ASTM standards, and also conforms to all CPSC standards. I give this my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
