Cozy Cub – Stay Cozy and Warm this Winter

While most kids thoroughly enjoy snow, I’m not a big fan. I love being outdoors. I love playing in the nice sunshine and think that I was born in the wrong state. While my state is known for its skiing, I don’t think that I may be one of those who will enjoy doing so. Whenever it starts snowing all I can think about is that there is one less day for me to play outside. Well when One Step Ahead decided to send me a few things from their Cozy Cub Collection it totally changed my mindset. The Cozy Cub collection was designed for boys and girls to keep us warm from sizes 6 months all the way up to 8 years.

I was sent the Girls Cozy Cub Polar Fleece Jacket, Reversible Hat and matching Fleece Mittens. Fleece is a synthetic fabric and was created to mimic the properties of wool. It is a great alternative for those allergic to wool, is also less expensive than wool and very easy to care for. After all machine washable is preferable to dry clean only.

Now on to my Cozy Cub Collection. When I received it I was amazed at the colors of my jacket. I did see it online but up close it looked even better and felt even better. There were no uneven stitches and no puckers. I’ve had that a few times with other clothing and when it comes to my winter clothing, it has to be very well made as this was. There were no loose threads and you can tell by just watching it that it was very well made and of high quality.

Now mommy and I decided to test this out right after we had a bit of snow. Most were melted but there were still a bit on the ground and the temperature was very low that day. This was the ultimate test. Would it keep me warm? Would I want to stay outdoors and keep on playing? Let me tell you that it did keep me warm and I did want to stay outdoors. I actually ended up spending a lot more time than usual outdoors when it’s cold outside.

Now let me go into a few of the features of my clothing. The jacket, hat and gloves are all made of fleece as I mentioned before. The jacket has an attached hood that actually fits great. On the inside of my jacket was a name label that is perfect for kids attending school. You can write your child’s name on the inside along with their phone number, so in the event of it getting misplaced it can be returned. The hat has built in ear flats and connects under the chin keeping little ears and chins warm and toasty. The mittens are just as cool. They slide on and off easily and has a velcro closure for that perfect fit. It also has grips on the palms for if your little one decides that they want to have a snow fight.

The Cozy Cub Collection by One Step Ahead is just that! One Step Ahead! Your little one would love the cold outdoors when wearing this very warm clothing line. I know I do and that’s why the Cozy Cub Collection gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
