ClickN KIDS Tablet #Review

All opinions are my own.

Mommy has been wary of all the time that I spend lately watching TV. She doesn’t like it but daddy thinks that the TV is a great babysitter. I don’t mind it myself. Granted there isn’t much that I do get to watch but I do more than normal whenever mommy isn’t around. Even when I do get to watch TV with mommy there are only limited channels and shows that I am allowed to watch. Mommy believes that while TV is good in limited quantities that actual get up and go play is best. With technology taking over and kids getting into technology at younger ages mommy was elated when ClickN KIDS offered her a tablet to review. Now my bigger brother Mikael had reviewed a tablet he had gotten earlier so this one was going to be mine.

The ClickN KIDS Family Tablet is the only tablet preloaded with Looney Tunes Phonics. This fully loaded tablet comes out of the box with a matching gel case for superior protection and style. The ClickN KIDS tablet is the first of its kind to offer a dual-purpose interface, which means this tablet is designed for both kids and grownups. The Kids Place experience offers access to more than 30 pre-loaded apps including Looney Tunes Phonics, Talking Tom 2 and Talking Ginger, Diversion, Team Awesome and more. Your ClickN KIDS Tablet comes with the best parental controls available today with web content filtering, built-in monitoring and controls that let you protect your child’s identity, monitor their time usage and even prevent your child from downloading new apps and performing other functions that can cost you money. The grownups section offers everything you need from a full-featured tablet. Simply tap on the grownups button, type in your secure pin number and you’re in.

 $89 – Recommended age: 5y+

The ClickN KIDS Tablet comes in a variety of eight colors and I was sent a bright new shiny pink one.  One thing that mommy and I really loved about the tablet is that it comes with an added protector. You know how us little ones like to drop things. Have no fear with the silicone protector. It is very well protected. It also makes it easy for me to hold on to and mommy also doesn’t need to buy a protector since it comes with one.

Now on to my official review:

The ClickN KIDS Tablet has a 7″ touch screen which was pretty responsive.  It also comes with 1 GB of storage which is good for an entry level kid tablet. It can be upgraded to 32GB with the use of an SD Micro Card for those who want a bit more memory. It comes pre-loaded with over 30 applications so it’s ready for play. One of my favorite is actually Talking Tom who repeats everything I say. I find it totally hilarious! The sound on the tablet was also pretty good.

The highlight of this Tablet is their Looney Toons App which in itself is a $50 product. It is geared towards kids PreK to grade 3. It teaches phonics such as spelling, letter sounds etc and has hours of content for your little one. This is perfect for your little ones just starting out learning to read since this app really does help with that.

Now there are features on here that parents will enjoy such as the parental control which mommies and daddies can use to limit how much time is spent using the tablet. They can also restrict internet access as well. There is built-in WiFi and even an Android Music Player.

Now since this is an Android tablet you have access to the Google Play Store where you can download unlimited apps, not just for your little one but also for the grown ups as well.

Now there is one thing that mommy and I did not like. The battery life. Even fully charged the battery only lasted about 4 hours. There were times as well when even fully charged the tablet refused to turn on. Not sure if mommy and I got a defective product but when it worked it worked great.

Here’s a video of the ClickN KIDS Tablet showing you all that it can do.
