I am a great believer in play time. So is mommy. You may have heard me saying that my mommy would take the controllers, TV remotes and even the mouse and keyboard so my brothers can go outside and play. When Tumblewalla contacted mommy and me and told us about their PLAY revolution, we were intrigued. They are firm believers that PLAY is critical to help kids build confidence, socialization skills, and for emotional and physical well-being. In fact, every child has a RIGHT to play and enjoy their childhood – no matter where they live or their economic situation – which is what fueled the passion to start Tumblewalla. Now how could we refuse a company that has the same beliefs that we do?
Tumblewalla’s clothing is fun, fresh and cozy organic clothing designed to inspire free play for your little boy or girl. You can purchase clothing for your baby or toddler since the sizes range from 0-3 months all the way to 4 years, and all at an affordable price range of $22-$36. That is a great price for organic clothing.
One thing that mommy and I look at is packaging and I have to say that Tumblewalla does not disappoint in this area. Our clothing came in a reusable cotton play bag that is suitable for storing other items after I took my clothing out of it.
I received the Little Lotus Organic Collection Flutter Dress and the Golden Hex Organic Collection Pocket Dress. You did notice that word organic in my description right? Yes their clothing is all made from 100% super soft organic cotton fabrics that feels really good on the skin and are easy on the environment. As a matter of fact their clothing is designed by a team in Minnesota and made in a sustainable workplace in India.
When thinking of playwear I like to think of bright bold colors and Tumblewalla did not disappoint. With colorful prints that are sure to delight even the pickiest toddler. I immediately fell in love with my dresses and couldn’t wait to put them on.
Forgive the toddler labor photos. I wanted to help and mommy said why not? Tumblewalla clothing are tag free so there’s no itchy tags for your to remove, and their fabric isn’t itchy either. As a matter of fact they pre-wash their clothing, not once but twice for those with delicate skin just like me.
Now mommy wanted to see how their clothing would survive a day of me rough housing in them. Of course after playing outside for a few hours I ended up dirty and mommy threw them in the wash. What came out was clothing that not only held up but still looked great! It doesn’t get any better than that!
If you’re wondering about the fit, don’t worry I have that covered. My dresses had no buttons to button, and the neck stretches easily and goes back into place just as easily. It was as simple as pulling it over my head and go. Now I’m 32″ tall and I’m wearing the size 3T with lots of room to spare.
Now if their PLAY philosophy and quality and design of their clothing wasn’t enough to entrance you, they also donate 5% of sales to organizations who are dedicated to brightening the lives and futures of children who don’t have the access or opportunities to play as they should. What an amazing company!
