Bluum 29 Month Old Box – June 2014

Our Bluum box showed up rather late this month, and so far since they have joined forces with Stork Stack, I can see an improvement in the boxes. Mommy was on the verge of canceling our subscription when she got the email about the merger. Since we absolutely loved Stork Stack she decided that she would give Bluum another chance to redeem themselves. So far so good. My regular readers have been following my journey with Bluum for over a year so know what Bluum is about. For those new to Growing Up Madison and subscription boxes, Bluum is a monthly subscription box for mom and baby from pregnancy to age 5. Each month you receive a box of goodies catered to your little one based on their age. Subscription costs $29/monthly (yes the price went up). There are 3 other subscription plans and the longer you subscribe the cheaper it is. 3 months at $25/month, 6 months at $23/month and 12 months at $21/month all which needs to be paid upfront.

Now that you know what Bluum is all about lets get into what I received this month in my 29 month old box. I am actually 29 months old today. Happy 29 month old birthday to me! OK enough about me. I now you’re dying to see what I got.

Do you see what I see? Yes when I opened my box, the first thing I noticed was that Melissa & Doug puzzle. Bluum doesn’t let you know what you’re getting before hand so everything is a total surprise. Here goes!

for baby – Melissa And Doug – Chunky Puzzle Scene – Yellow House – $9.99

Your child is working hard on mastering the puzzle – and this Melissa and Doug landscape puzzle will help them get to the next level! With thick, grabable pieces, and bright, easy to match illustrations, your child will be a professional puzzler in no time!

I am a puzzle junkie and I just love Melissa & Doug puzzles. I have quite a few of them and love them all. This is no exception. There products are so well made and last a very long time.

for baby – Bitsy’s Brainfood – Alphabet Smartsnacks – Sweet Potato Raisin Cookie – $3.90

On the go nutrition is always tough to tackle, but with Bitsy’s Brainfood, it’s easy! These delicious and nutritious snacks are perfect for long car rides, or packed lunches – and with wholesome, organic ingredients like sweet potato, you can be sure that they are getting the good stuff they need, too!

I have gotten these quite a few times and each time I get them they are the first thing to disappear from my box. These brainfood are absolutely delicious and I look forward to getting them when they arrive.

for baby – I Play – Disposable Compressed Wipes 20Pk With Travel Tube – $6.50

Sometimes you just need to get out of the house – and sometimes you’d prefer not to lug around a diaer bag full of heavy stuff. These compressed wipes make it easy for you to get out quickly – and without all that excess baggage!

Mommy was very skeptical the very first time we received them but after trying them she has to say that they actually work. They are so compact and that’s needed is a bit of water. They are perfect just to throw in your bag and because of the size can go anywhere.

for baby – Melissa And Doug – Cinco Starfish Scoop – $5.53

Sand play is a must during the summer months – and this Cinco Starfish shovel will help scoop up the fun!

It’s officially summer and this will come in so handy. I love playing in the sand so I can see myself scooping over and over again until I get tired. This is another Melissa & Doug product that I just know I’ll love.

for baby – Mossworld – Drink Bottle Tethers – Red – $5.00

Protect your floors, and avoid the inevitable clean up that comes with a busted cup (they all seem to break at one point or another, don’t they?) by strapping them into this Bottle Tether by Mossworld. Conveniently designed to fit on nearly ANY beverage container, this thing is a lifesaver (or floor saver, or carseat saver).

Now this I may not have a need for so I plan on gifting this to someone. While it’s a great concept I’m a big girl now!

for mom – Kericure – Keychain Skin Protectant – $9.99

Playing is rough business – often resulting in bruises and scratches that need a little extra attention. KerriCure Skin Protectant, in this portable keychain container, provides a germ barrier for open wounds that jumpstarts the healing process and helps your child get up and keep playing!

With a toddler and two stinky brothers there are always cuts and scrapes going on in my household. The first aid kit is never very far away. Mommy was very happy that Bluum included this for her although to be honest it’s not really for her, it’s really for us kids. Mommy doesn’t get cuts and scrapes.

The total for my Bluum box this month was $40.90 based on Amazon prices. That’s an amazing deal since the subscription is only $29. I really enjoy getting the puzzle this month and mommy loved the Kericure that was included as well. I do plan on putting that starfish scoop to use since it’s summer. Now Bluum boxes are $29 a month but if you sign up using my referral link you get to save 50% off your first box. Your first box for $14.50 is a great deal if you ask me!
