Bears by Lauren – Beyond Extraordinary

Have you had a loved one that you want to always have close? How about the kids that are growing up and moving on out? You probably have a few of their baby items that you’ve been keeping folded away, just to bring out every once in a while, and smile over because you can’t believe how much they’ve grown. My mother lost her father not too long ago and not a day goes by that she doesn’t think of him. Although she has memories to last a lifetime she still wishes that he was here and that she had a piece of him. When Bears by Lauren contacted mommy about their amazing keepsake bears mommy originally thought of grandpa. Why? Well Bears by Lauren are unique keepsake bears that are made from your loved one’s clothing. Each are made to your specification and all are unique. I just love personalized items and this is by far the best one yet that I have reviewed to date.

Currently, there are three bear styles of keepsake memory bear:

  1. Button Bear (18 inches tall with posable arms and legs);
  2. Belly Bear  (16 -18 inches tall) &
  3. Classic Bear (18 inches).

I was sent the Button Bear as seen in the photo above. So how does the process work? Well, you simply send Lauren clothing that you may have stored away as keepsakes, each bear requires a different amount of clothing, she then, in turn, creates a handcrafted keepsake bear that you can either display in plain view or hug every day. If you don’t have any clothing available Lauren will do her best to create something just for you based on your specifications.

In my case being a girl who loves to read and who think I’m a princess, I requested something that had owls because you know that owls are wise and I just love them. Mommy had already given most of my clothing away and Lauren truly outdid herself. She asked what my eye color was and I told her brown. Told her that I loved pink and when my bear arrived I couldn’t believe it. This bear was extraordinary. Not only did she find my owls but there was a beautiful princess and it was pink! I immediately said “that is my bear!”. And it was in fact mine. It was personalized not just with what I requested but also had my name and date of birth monogrammed on his legs. Just look at the attention to detail on this bear! OUTSTANDING!

There really is nothing that Lauren can’t do for you. You can request specific features, eye color, or even a special birthmark that your loved one may have. Remember these are all unique and one of a kind and she truly tries her best to make it just the way you want. Now while you may send in clothing of a loved one there is no need to wash them if you want to preserve their scent. The only request is that it not be filled with cigarette smoke which is totally understandable. I don’t think I would want a bear that smelled like cigarettes either.

One of the things that I loved about Bears by Lauren besides the uniqueness of the bears is that Lauren herself stays in contact with you throughout the entire process. Talk about customer service. She is with you from the beginning right through to the end to make sure that you loved your bear. Thank you, Lauren, but I sure do!!

Bears by Lauren will make a great heirloom piece and I recommend getting one to remind you of a loved one past or present. These will make great gifts for everyone that you love and cherish and if I had more than tiny thumbs she would get them all since I only have tiny ones she totally gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
