It’s been a while since we shared a recipe with you. If you’re looking for something that is not only delicious but is also easy to make, then I suggest trying our amazing baked ziti. I have always enjoyed making baked ziti because in my opinion it’s so much more easier than lasagna. While this one only includes 2 different cheeses, you can add as much as you want. There are days when I’ve added up to 6 different cheeses in my recipe. This one also includes mushrooms but that is also optional for you. If you’ve never made a baked ziti before, then I would suggest giving this one a try. You’ll love it!
Here is what you’ll need:
Ingredients
1 box ziti pasta (or pasta of choice)
1 lb ground beef
1 container of mushrooms
1 jar marinara sauce
2 C shredded mozzarella
1 C shredded parmesan
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
Directions
First start by slicing the mushrooms and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Brown ground beef in a large skillet until fully cooked.
Add in the onion powder, salt and garlic powder. While that is cooking, cook your pasta as directed on the box.
Once your meat is finished, drain the fat and add in sliced mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are slightly cooked.
It’s now time to add in your marinara sauce to the ground beef/mushroom mixture. Mix well.
Add in ½ C shredded parmesan cheese and ½ C shredded mozzarella and mix well. If you want to add extra cheese you can.
Add in your drained cooked pasta to the mixture.
Once it is all mixed together pour into a 9×12 baking dish.
Spread remaining parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese (and also the other cheeses you decide to use) on top of the pasta mixture.
Put in oven and cook until top is bubbly and slightly brown. Enjoy!
