Peg Perego Viaggio HBB 120 Car Seat Review

All opinions are my own.

Today once again my big brother Mikael will be helping me do another of my Big Kids review after all I’m not really considered a big kid as yet.

Mikael is 8 years of age but he is really skinny and only weighs 66 pounds. According to the laws of our state he’s still not big enough to ride without being in a booster seat. This is where the Viaggio HBB 120 comes in and mommy is thankful that she was able to review it for Peg Perego. The Viaggio HBB 120 can comfortably seat a child from 40 to 120 pounds with a maximum height of 57″. It is also equipped with back support and total Side Impact Protection to ensure a safer ride.

He had a booster seat that we would transfer from one vehicle to another but mommy decided to permanently install this in our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan. Well actually daddy did the installation, mommy only took the pictures. The Peg Perego Viaggio HBB 120 Car Seat can only be used forward facing and includes latch connectors that attaches to your vehicle, this keeps your booster seat secure when not in use.

This comes in a variety of prints so you can find something that goes along with your vehicle. As you can see this matches perfectly with our gold minivan. This print is the Crystal Beige.

Mikael without a booster is still not able to be properly secured in the car. The seatbelt is almost near his head and in the case of an accident he will be hurt badly. I love my brother and don’t want that to happen to him. Seatbelts should fit across the shoulders and chest and not the way it is in the following picture.

It is made of very high quality material and is very soft to touch. He loved his car seat and said that it is very comfortable and felt a lot better than his old booster. He said it was even more comfortable than the original car seat itself. Now I’m so jealous. It is made of innovative microfiber fabric which makes the seat breathable and also absorbs moisture which keeps him cool and comfortable. Notice the fit of the seatbelt in this picture. Perfect!

The backrest of the Viaggio HBB 120 is also multi-positionable and the seat also reclines which provides added comfort for those long car rides. This will be great for our road trip this Christmas. Now I know he will be really comfortable. The backrest is also removable so the seat can be used alone. Peg Perego recommends the use of the backrest for the best protection of your child’s head and shoulders in the event of a side collision. In Mikael’s case he needs it as you can see from his picture. Although he is higher up in his seat the seatbelt still doesn’t fit well enough.

The Peg Perego Viaggio HBB 120 comes with some really cool features such Side Impact Protection which means that Mikael will be safe in the event of an accident. He also like having his own little hand rests as well.

Another great feature is the cup holders on each side of the seat. Mommy hates us eating in her vehicles so this feature may not get that much use but it is great to have because daddy doesn’t mind us eating.

The dimensions of the Viaggio HBB 120 is 27.25″h  x  16″w  x  16″h and weighs 12lbs. Perfect for minivans and SUV’s. Mommy isn’t so sure about smaller vehicles. Peg Perego made another cool video that mommy decided to put into our review showing you how cool this really is.

Now here is a tip from me Madison. Remember to always buckle up whenever you’re out and about in your vehicle. Seat belts save lives! Be a good example and make sure everyone is buckled before you move. Mommy refuses to drive until everyone is buckled up and it is always safer for us in the back seat. We’re VIP’s (Very Important People) and VIP’s always sit in the back.

The Peg Perego Viaggio HBB 120 gets Madison and Mikael’s Two Thumbs Up!
