In two and a half months I’ll be two years old. That means I am getting older but it also means that I am getting more independent as well. I’m trying to put my clothes on although incorrectly and I refuse to have help. I don’t like having help. I like doing it all by myself. Mommy would prefer if she could do it for me but that doesn’t teach me independence. It teaches me to be dependent on mommy for everything. That may have been great when I was younger but I’m no longer a baby. I’m a big girl now and big girls need to learn how to undress and dress themselves. That’s where Kidoozie’s Dress Me Emily and Dress Me Josh by International Playthings comes in.

15-inch plush doll features over 10 learn-to-dress activities. Outfits feature hook and loop closures, snap, lace, buckle, tie and more! Soft cuddly body. Removable clothes, includes play accessories.

 $29.99 – Recommended age: 12m+

I received the Kidoozie Dress Me Emily to review for our Holiday Gift Guide. If you’re looking for a doll that not only teaches life skills but also is fun then look no further than the Kidoozie Dress Me Emily or even Dress Me Josh which is perfect for the little boys in your life as well.

Dress Me Emily has a very soft body and is very huggable. Dress Me Emily is recommended for ages 12 months and up but you may want to be careful. She comes with a single button on her dress that helps with learning but may be able to be pulled off if you’re not careful. Mommy plans on making sure it is really secure because as you know everything still gets puts into my mouth. The little bows in her hair are also only attached by thread and if your toddler is a little rough like I am you may want to pay attention to that as well.

Now her clothes is completely removable which includes her shoes. Dress Me Emily teaches your little one to lace their shoes and also to fasten since one of them is fastened by velcro. I am too little to know how to lace my shoes but when the time comes I will be ready thanks to Dress Me Emily. Her dress is also a learning tool and teaches how to button. Her dress comes complete with a belt that teaches how to loop your belts as well. There is so much to learn.

As if that wasn’t enough her purse teaches how to use a zipper and her socks folds down as well.

Not only will Emily teach your little one how to be independent and confident while getting dressed but she will also be a friend for life. Emily will enhance your little one’s motor skills while they learn the secrets of getting dressed on their own all the while having fun.

Here I am learning how to put on Dress Me Emily’s shoe while mommy looks on. I think I did an ok job all without help as well. Learning has never been so much fun! I give my Dress Me Emily my Two Tiny Thumbs Up! Dress Me Emily is available online at Kidoozie’s website as well as toy stores.
