Meet Bentley our beloved Cocker Spaniel. Bentley is almost 5 months old and is still a puppy even though he has grown quite a lot in the short time we’ve had him. We got him when he was only 2 months old and since then he has gone through so much. This is also going to Bentley’s first Christmas with us as family and his first Christmas in general. While we know of lots of ways that we can spend the holidays with our human family, spending the holidays with your furry family is not that much different. Today I want to share with you 4 very simple tradition you can do with your pet.

Bentley when we first got him

1.
Santa Portraits. I take my daughter every year to get her portrait taken with Santa. We have only missed one year since we traveled to the Caribbean and there was no Santa portraits being taken there. On a trip to my local mall I saw the sign saying to bring in your pets for their own very special picture on certain days. Check out your own local mall and see when Santa is taking pictures. If you would prefer, you can even take do a family portrait with your pet included. It’s a great way to see how your pet has grown/changed over the years.

2.
Get Personalized Ornaments made especially for your pets. There are numerous websites that can make personalized ornaments. Having an ornament for your tree will show that your furry friend is indeed a part of the family.

3.
Make Your Pet his Own Christmas Stocking. Now that you’ve gotten your ornament, well how about getting him a stocking and adding a few goodies in there for him on Christmas. One such goodie can be Blue Buffalo™ Santa Snacks. BLUE Santa Snacks are baked with oatmeal and cinnamon and can be found easily at your local PetSmart.

4. Give him his own special dinner. I was able to also find BLUE Santa Stew Holiday Feast. This is a canned food made with turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans and cranberries. They are however only available for a limited time. Both the BLUE Santa Snacks and the BLUE Santa Stew are part of Blue Buffalo’s Seasonal Sensations line that also include holiday items celebrating Valentine’s Day, Independence Day and Halloween.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to wait until Christmas and gave him his special dinner and treat which he just loved. It was an early Christmas present just for Bentley. Since Blue Buffalo products are made with high quality ingredients I didn’t feel guilty giving it to him and he truly appreciated me a lot more I think. This holidays Bentley is going to have an amazing Christmas and he can expect to have a lot more to come.

Let’s discuss: How are you including your own furry friends this Christmas?
