Berry Veggie Smoothie – #FreshWorksFreshness

Today we share how to make this berry veggie smoothie, and how you can make your fresh fruits last longer with the new Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver.

As a mother we want nothing but the best for our children and that includes what they eat. Lucky for me my kids just LOVE fruits and veggies, so I always make it my business to have it all on hand. We are the family who would buy a fruit they’ve never of before to give it a try, because you never know if you like something unless you try it right? I’m also one of those parents who prefer to spend her money buying wholesome organic fruits and veggies because it’s just plain better for you. The only thing it isn’t good for is my wallet. That’s why I hate when buying fruits or veggies that they go bad before you can eat them all. I’m not one for wasting money and my kids would be the first to tell you so. If they don’t like what they get for dinner, then they can go to bed hungry, I’m not going to make a second meal. So when I heard of the new Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver I knew that I wanted to give it a try. Anything that will save me money in the long run, I’m all for.

So how does the FreshWorks Produce Saver work?

The Rubbermaid FreshWorks containers use a patented FreshVent™ technology to keep produce fresher up to 80%* longer than traditional produce packaging. The FreshVent regulates the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide to create the optimal environment for your produce, keeping them fresher longer. The included CrispTray™helps to reduce moisture and spoilage.

The containers are available in 3 sizes.

Small (2.5 cups) are perfect for your berries

Medium (6.3 cups) are perfect for strawberries

Large (17.3 cups) are perfect for your leafy greens

They are so easy to use. Simply remove your fruits and veggies from their store packaging and place them in your FreshWorks containers before refrigerating. The lid filter lasts a lifetime, so you don’t have to worry about ever getting a replacement. I hate buying products where I have to continually spend more money, so this is once again a money saver. They are also microwave and top dishwasher safe and BPA-free.

Now that my fruits and veggies last so much longer, I can make all the breakfast smoothies that I want. Today I want to share our berry veggie smoothie, which is a good source of Vitamins A, C and fiber.
