I know you’ve probably heard me say before that mommy is as old as a dinosaur. I think the people over at the Hip Hop 50s Shop may have heard me too because they decided to contact mommy and offer to send me a cute little costume from their shop. With Halloween right around the corner how could I resist.

I know nothing about the 50’s and I guess mommy must not be as old as a dinosaur as I thought she was. She doesn’t know anything about the 50’s either. My grandma does though and she says those were the best days. The days when it was safe to play outdoors until late without worry. The music was fun she said, according to her nothing like the music we listen to now. She danced the waltz and the mambo and even remembered singing along to jukebox songs. Jukebox? OK that was way before my time. Now I listen to music on an iPod.

Well before I tell you about my cute little outfit let me tell you about their customer service. Can I say fast! Mommy and I received my outfit in 3 days. That’s some of the best service we’ve gotten in a very long time. With Halloween right around the corner you will have your 50’s outfit in no time if you’re short on time.

I received the 3pc 50s Poodle Skirt Toddler Outfit and I was blown away by the look. Okay I admit that I looked at it online and usually things look better online that they do in person. This was an exception. It looks identical and the quality was pretty good too. The top is made of 100% cotton and is actually pretty soft. It’s one that you can wear when you’ve decided that you don’t want to wear the complete outfit. It can actually be paired with other items in your closet because it’s not your typical “costume” shirt.

The shirt is a nice crisp white color and the detailing of that poodle was very well done. It’s a really nice shirt and I intend to wear it over and over again.

My skirt is made from acrylic and when I first saw that in the description I was slightly afraid that I would not like it. That it would be itchy and scratchy. Well I can say that it isn’t. I was able to wear my skirt for a few hours before mommy decided that it was time to get out of them. Even while wearing it I did not scratch because there was no itching.

Don’t I totally look like a 50s baby?
