5 Little Monkeys Finger Play Gloves

There are a few books that we just love to read. Quite a few have made their way to our library over the years, and even when they are torn and “well-loved,” instead of just throwing them away, we replace them with brand new copies. Do you love the finger play of Five Little Monkeys? If so, crafting these 5 Little Monkey Finger Play gloves is a must! These gloves only take minutes to make, and the end result is the perfect prop to enjoy this finger play time and time again with your child. Here is how you can get started crafting your own pair!

Supplies needed:

Stretchy gloves ($1 per pair at most dollar stores and Michael’s Craft store)

Peel and stick monkey stickers (Around $2 a package at Michael’s as well)

Hot glue, glue gun

(If you’d rather not make your own, you can grab this ready-made set on Amazon.)

Directions:

1. Add a dab of glue to the finger tips of your gloves. Only do this while the gloves are flat on your work surface and not on your hand.

2. Peel and stick the monkey stickers to each dab of glue. Press them in place until they are secure.

3. Once your glue is dry, you can place the gloves on your hand to do your finger play!

Here is the 5 Little Monkeys Story Book written by Eileen Christelow, just in case you need a reminder. It has been one of Madison’s favorites for as long as I remember, and she finds it hilarious when I say, “No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.”

5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Four little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Three little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped her head. Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”
