February’s Fragrance of the Month is Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming.

At the beginning of the year, I made the decision to share a new fragrance monthly here on AnnMarie John. Earlier in January, I started by sharing my top 7 designer fragrances, and also my top 5 budget fragrances found at discount stores. My addiction to anything that smells amazing, especially perfumes is great, and when you love something, it’s always a good idea to share it with others. That’s how my Fragrance of the Month theme happened to come along. It also helps that a new fragrance is purchased at least once a month. So without further ado, let me introduce you to our very first fragrance of the month Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming.
A little backstory: In my teens, my sister-in-law owned a bottle of Dior Poison and every time I visited I would spritz a little on my wrist, behind my ears, etc. It became “a thing”, whenever I went out on a date, a stop to my brother’s house would be in order so that I could “smell good”. As the years went by and as I got older, I added a bottle of Dior Addict to my collection. Dior Addict is still a fragrance that brings a smile to my face because of all the memories it invokes, but now there’s a new addiction – Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming.
Bright and colorful, Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is a floral delight you return to over and over. Its top notes of tangy red berry are joyful and striking. At its heart, a sublime duet of Grasse roses and Damascus roses embraces a sensuous peony accord. This infinite blooming of fresh flowers is comforted in a base of white musk notes.
While Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is a bit costly, it is definitely worth its price. If you’re going to be spending a significant amount of money on any perfume, you want the scent to last all day, and this does just that. The floral scent is just gorgeous. While it starts off rather strong, it’s not too sweet, and the dry down is just fabulous. This is the scent that gets you stopped on the street and asked: “what is that you’re wearing”.
