Healthy Habits To Boost Your Immune System

The end of the year brings plenty to look forward to, such as some of my favorite holidays. But it also brings something most of us aren’t too excited for – cold and flu season.

This post is a sponsored post for Sambucol, however, all opinions are mine alone.

Healthy Habits To Boost Your Immune System

I’m not sure why, but the cooler fall and winter months seem to bring a flurry of sickness along with them each year. And now more than ever, I’m on a mission to keep myself and my family healthy.

That’s why I’ve started to incorporate a few healthy habits into my daily routine. I’m a big believer in the power of habits. By making things part of your regular routine, they go from being a tedious task on your to-do list to something you do without even thinking about or questioning.

If you’re looking for some healthy habits to add to your routine, I’m here to help! Consider some of these healthy habits if you’re looking to boost your immune system:

Healthy Habits To Boost Your Immune System

  • Get regular sleep. This is a big one! Many people don’t realize the importance of sleep when it comes to maintaining a strong immune system. Even if you don’t think you feel tired when you’re running on five or six hours of sleep, your body is not nearly as well-equipped to fend off germs and viruses. By making a consistent bedtime a habit, you’ll make it easier to get the sleep you need.
  • Practice yoga or meditation. Yoga and meditation are both proven to reduce stress, which can take a tremendous toll on your immune system. A regular yoga practice or meditation habit – even if it’s only for a few minutes each day – can make a difference.
  • Make good nutritional choices. While burgers and fast food might be convenient, they aren’t the best fuel for your body. Instead, prioritize foods and ingredients that are known to boost your immune system’s performance, like red bell peppers, spinach, and almonds.
  • Take your vitamins and supplements. While we can get many of the nutrients we need through the food we eat, it’s a good idea to bolster your immune system with vitamins and supplements.

One supplement I would highly recommend for anyone on a mission to boost their immune system? Sambucol, a black elderberry extract rich in immune supporting flavonoids. Elderberry has been used for thousands of years for its medicinal and antioxidant properties, and it remains a popular choice for strengthening immune systems and fighting illness. I’ve been a big fan of elderberry supplements for years, and Sambucol is my favorite option on the market.

Sambucol is super simple to incorporate into your daily routine. They offer a few different products, including my favorite, the Sambucol® Black Elderberry Gummies. Madison and I take one each morning with my other vitamins and supplements. It also comes in a syrup, which can be consumed on its own or mixed into juice, yogurt, or smoothies. – as well as a powder that’s perfect for when you’re on-the-go!

Regular sleep, stress-relieving activities, and supplements like Sambucol Black Elderberry Gummies can make a real difference if you’re looking to improve your immune system. By incorporating these healthy habits into my routine, I’m ready to face any challenge that comes my way – including cold and flu season!
