5 Ways to Reduce Your Migraines ~ #NaturesRemedy

Do you suffer from migraines and would love to eliminate their frequency? Today I want to share with you 5 ways you can reduce your migraines.

This post is written in collaboration with Quantum Health, however, all opinions are mines alone.

I suffer from debilitating migraines. My migraine suffering began about 8 years ago while in the U.S. Army. There would be days where I would be put on 48hrs quarters (almost like a civilian sick leave) because I just couldn’t cope.

I couldn’t stand because there was an aura of lights circling around me, my head felt as if it was exploding while on my body, while sounds felt as though they were intensified because of my sensitivity. At their worst, nausea and vomiting would sometimes set in. Not only would I miss work, but my family was missing me being a mother and a wife as well.

For relief, my husband and I purchased blackout curtains for my bedroom and my doctor prescribed migraine medications. Learning what triggered my migraines was an eye-opener, but recently, even without my triggers in place, a migraine would pop up every few days. While waiting for an appointment with my new doctor, I received an email asking about giving MigShield a try, and wanting to experience relief responded: “Yes, I’ll give it a try”.

So what exactly is MigShield?

MigShield is a natural option for relief, formulated with CoQ10, Magnesium and Riboflavin, all critical ingredients proven to relieve migraines.

And now here are my 5 ways to reduce your migraines.

Get enough sleep

Constantly missing out on sleep can cause a migraine to begin. While you should ideally get at least 8hrs of sleep, sometimes it’s not possible, but if you can, catch up on sleep during the day. Take a nap here and there if you can.

Relaxation

Try a few relaxation techniques to help minimize stress. You can try meditating, deep breathing or even yoga. Find a location that is free of distractions, sit or recline in a chair or on your sofa and try and erase all worrying thoughts from your mind. You can try a 2-minute relaxation exercise daily and you’ll notice the difference.

Watch your diet and stay hydrated

What you eat can have an impact on your migraines as some foods and drinks are known triggers. While a little caffeine can help alleviate a migraine, too much of it can actually cause one. Eating regular meals is also important, so try to avoid skipping a meal, especially breakfast. Drink lots of water and/or consume foods that are high in water content, as dehydration is also a migraine trigger.

Massage

A weekly or bi-weekly massage is a great way to reduce the frequency of your migraines. Massage is not only good for relieving muscle tension and pain, but it also helps with relaxation as well. Not only will it help with our migraines but it can also improve the quality of your sleep by helping to decrease your anxiety.

Use MigShield

One of the reasons I decided to give MigShield a try was because of its natural properties. Using prescribed medication was not something that I wanted to do all my life. Magnesium taken together with riboflavin (vitamin B2) has been known to reduce the frequency of migraines. Coenzyme Q10 which is naturally found in your body’s tissue, as well as in many foods is used to produce energy for cells and is also used as an antioxidant.

MigShield is formulated from these three key, high-quality ingredients (CoQ10, Magnesium & Riboflavin) and taken daily the benefits can be seen after it has built up in your body after a 1-3 month period. I have been taking MigShield for almost 2 months now, and my migraines have significantly lessened.

If you currently experience migraines, you know that the symptoms can rob you of life since they can be a challenge to cope with. Not only can you miss out on work and activities that you love, you also miss out being with those you love as well. Instead of just ‘dealing’ with your migraine, take some time to take care of yourself using the tips above, and don’t forget your MigShield by Quantum Health.

*Please note that MigShield is not designed to provide immediate pain relief.
